Sakura Koji

Equipment: Robes, sakura pin, tanto
Koji's attention flicked to Sojoh as he entered, currently
panting and glaring as sweat gathered on his brow. He looked
fiery and angry, like his temple boiled just below the surface.
But in his odd, teal colored eyes, there was a pain there. One
he didn't know how to express nor deal with. So he took it out
with violence...The only thing beyond the lessons that he felt
he was good at... The mocking made him grit his teeth, even if
deep down he knew this wasn't malicious. But the angry part of
him started blaming him...Sojoh should have all the right to
tease him. He probably had more favor from the Lotuses than he
did. Who wouldn't like the stoic, put together man that showed
grace in his missions rather than a fiery liability? He
swallowed hard, knowing that line of thinking wasn't fair, but
it fed the anger inside... "Seriously. I don't need this right
now." He muttered and turned his attention back to the dummy.
However, when Sojoh grabbed a pair of wooden swords and offered
a spar, something inside Koji tensed. He couldn't back down from
a challenge...Not to Sojoh. He took the sword rather forcefully
before giving Sojoh a look of challenge. "You're on, old man."
When they were both armed and sounded off that they were ready,
Koji launched into an attack first. He ran at Sojoh, getting in
his space before making a jab for his arm to smack the blade
away, following that with a quick successional strike agains
this person. Koji was light and agile, but obviously his anger
was influncing him to throw hits a bit harder and dodge less.

Sakura Sojoh
Location: tea house/safe house
Company: Sakura,Koji
Equipment: Comfortable robes, sakura pin, kurambit
When Koji accepted ths duel, he got excited, his eyes crinkling
lightly at the happiness that he friend wanted to spar. He got
into a stance quickly and easily fended off the attacks, even
finding time to swat him back. It was a bit of a fight, but
after a few bouts, Sojoh tripped his partner and pinned him to
the floor, hands on his wrist to pin him, strattling the man's
center to keep him pinned better. He gave a grin at the man on
the floor. "Well now, isnt this a pleasant sight." He stated
more along the lines of a pervert but it might have been taken
that he liked to watch him lose. He didn't mind either way, but
he expected koji to fight back still, the man was feisty after
all. He took a brief second to lean in a little more to taunt
the man again however- knowing he was a sucker for gloating.

The two were locked in a fierce spar that very clearly placed
the two as skilled. When things got a bit more heated, Koji was
surprised when Sojoh tripped him and sent him onto his back on
the floor. He wriggled in his grip as he was pinned to the
floor. He glared up at Sojoh as he taunted him, thinking that he
was pushing his buttons about winning him over. Even if the
image of Sojoh towering over him stirred something in Koji that
he wasn't sure was right. It must have been wrong...this was
Sojoh... However, that gave him a wicked idea to get the man
off. One that his master had taught him in a different class for
a different use, but same concept. Distract your target with
seduction and you could get ahead of them. His eyes hooded as he
gazed up into Sojoh's face, his smile charming and listless.
"Can't complain about the view either but..." He said with
suggestion heavy in his tone before leaning up to put his face
closer to his ear, glad the man had leaned down to gloat more.
"It feels better when I'm on top." He sensed a tension form in
Sojoh that he assumed was from shock. That was his distraction
he needed! He used that opportunity to headbut him and grabbed
Sojoh's wrists. He rolled with him, pinning Sojoh down and gave
him a playful grin. "See told you it's better with me on top."
He cackled before letting the man up and getting to his feet.
"Alright, I'll call it a draw. My head hurts now. You're skull's
too fr*cking thick." He grumbled as he rubbed his forehead that
was a bit red from smacking it against Sojoh's. "Thanks...for
covering and the spar. I needed that."

The one thing Sojoh never expected to come from koji was a
relaxed look, one that complemented his more fair features
looking at him of all people. As he spoke about a view, he
stopped himself form leaning tok much, more afraid he would
druel on his friend. When he mentioned something feeling any
sort of way when Koji was on 'top' make the man's back to stiff,
not to mention his body to hear up at the Mere idea of such a
comment to him...his face flushed as he was rolled over, his
body reacting with out his concentration as he was definatly
distracted by his words. Sojoh didn't even seem to notice the
head but after all as he was still blushing. He eventually sat
up, shaking his head more in humor that Koji was joking with
him. When he thanked him for the cover and the spar he
nodded,"Of course. What are partners for?" He asked with a
softer look, his blush dying down, his mind having gotten
control of itself and he got his body to relax. He stood and
they went back to the tea house to enjoy some tea. It was
obvious they two were relaxing and enjoying some quiet but the
man playing the strings with the band was terrible, much to
sojoh's complaining about it.

The night at the tea house had been a good comfort, nice and
quiet after the long day before. It was times like these that
Koji liked, even if he was a bit of a partier when he got the
opportunity. But it was nice, just getting to talk easily about
things that didn't matter or were easy. Not dwelling on the
Lotus position. By the time morning came and they went to the
temple, Koji was feeling ready for whatever this mission was....

Absolutely not!
Koji's expression was stone faced as Lotus Cho-Hui explained
their mission and introduced them to their charge. They were
going to be guarding the Empress's son and guiding him to the
Masunai province for the Child Festival there. Koji just looked
at the kid there, having his servant tend to him as he
complained. They were to protect him with their lives and they
were trusted because they had proven to be an efficient team
together. Koji glanced at Sojoh, wondering what he thought of
this turn of events...As usual he was stone-faced and quiet.
They bowed as Cho-Hui left them with the boy and his servant.
The servant came forwards, bowing to the two men with a shy
smile. "Hello noble warriors. Thank you for guiding the prince
and I to Masunai. My name is Jae-Fumi. Call me Fumi." She said
sweetly before batting her eyes at Sojoh. Koji's brow quirked
and he was slightly irritated how vapid this woman seemed. They
were in their armor so all that really showed was their eyes,
which seemed taken with his... She seemed to realize she was
staring and blushed. "The carriage is outside. Horses have been
provided to you, of course." She said as she scurried back to
the young master to watch over him.
"Ridiculous...Baby sitting?" Koji muttered to Sojoh since he was
still irritated that this was to be their mission. It would be
about 4 days as Masunai and that was 4 days too long in his
opinion...

The evening with Koji was as always a pleasure, since the man
was a good friend of his. As they traveled in the morning, Sojoh
made sure to bring his Ehru as he detested traveling with out,
since it calmed him and helped settle his mind at night. The
temple grounds were still kept well, the novices working hard to
please their masters. He smirked as he remembered how time there
well enough still. His own master, Lotus Sun was there today,
and he intended to greet her. He went and put his things down
and went to see if he could find her, but was unable to in the
time he was allotted before a meeting were to be held.
He went to the meeting with Koji's master and got a mission
brief. He looked a little suprised but nodded, since who was he
to argue on an assignment? It seemed Koji for one was, but he
didn't comment. As they were introduced Sojih got a smile on his
lips briefly, bowing to the Lotus before him as she left. When
the servent came forward and greeted them, Sojoh bowed briefly
to the woman before glancing at the boy, he seemed young but
that just meant he was still childish and it was best to not
push him, else he had a feeling the boy would fight them. As the
woman introduced herself and attempted to flirt with him he gave
a nod, "Pleasure to meet you Fumi. You can call me Sakura. As my
title dictates." He stated since he didnt care for the woman,
and he usually wasn't a fan of women calling his name, well
except his master but when she did it was usually a punishment.
Behind them approached Lotus Sun, hearing Koji mutter but Sojoh
felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up, making him duck
on instinct. A large fan wacked Koji on the back on the head,
not hard but it did sting a bit. [B]"Talking disgracefully
Koji?"[/b] She asked with some humor as she saw Sojoh sensed her
presence. Her diciple turned ans bowed deeply to the plain
looking woman there, seeing she looked relaxed today. "Master
Sun, it brings me great pleasure to see you today." He stated
softly his head still bowed. Sun chuckled and patted his
head,"Yes yes, you have improved, you didnt get hit today." She
teased ths boy since he lacked in detection sometimes with his
head in the clouds. "I came to see you off, but was hoping you
would have played for me before you left, but it seemed your
charges are ready to begin, so after your check in, play for
me." She stated with a smile. That was more of a code that she
would be at ths next safe house waiting for them to report, that
and she did wish to hear the boy play as he were a wonderful
musician.
They made sure things were secured and then mounted up. As they
began, it wasn't too long before the boy wished a break, much to
Sojoh's slight irritation. So they found a place, setting out
pillows and snacks for the child who wanted to look at their
weapons, mostly Koji's who looked akward. Sojoh came over to the
boys and smiled, pulling his mask down to speak better for the
child. "That's a tanto blade, very sharp, koji here is very
talented with that blade. Hes also got throwing knives." He
stated to the boy who looked interested in the blades. "That's
cool, my mother said I can have what ever I want, I want his
sword." He stated on a blunt and childishly demanding way. Sojoh
chuckled,"If you took his blade how is he able to protect you?
How about you can have one of mine? " he off offered but he
seemed to think. "If I have one of yours how can you protect
me?" He stated getting a knowing nod from Sojoh," Oh, you are
correct your highness. My sincere apologies. Perhaps once this
trip is through?" He offered getting a more enthusiastic nod
from the child. He smirked before looking over at Koji, happy he
talked the boy out of the blade.

Location: Traveling road, Nonju Province, Seojinai
Accompanying: Sakura Sojoh
Equipment: Armor, sakura pin, tanto, throwing knives, a bad
attitude
Koji sat across from the prince, looking exactly how most would
expect him to with a child near him. While he got along fine
with people, Koji never quite had a normal upbringing and
therefore didn’t really know how to interact with children. They
were fussy and unpredictable, something he didn’t quite like. He
could read and understand people his own age and older
better...It made him feel more secure in his interactions and
less like he was going to screw something up. He absentmindedly
brushed the area on the back of his head where Master Sun
smacked him. The woman was as quiet as Sojoh was and honestly
was a mystery to him. He could never tell if she was joking or
being serious...Either way, getting caught in his displeasure
was a Camelia’s mistake and he wouldn’t let it happen again.
So when the brat started demanding his weapon after observing
the small sword, Koji bristled and looked ready to say something
to the effect of ‘Well mommy could get you your own’ but Sojoh
beat him to the punch. The complimenting was a bit much, but he
would admit it eased his anger some. Sojoh actually thought
highly of him...? He let the thought drop and watched Sojoh tame
the child and even get him to look excited. Dare he admit it,
but it was cute seeing Sojoh get the child to smile.
“So kids you’re great with, but everyone else...?” He asked,
giving Sojoh a soft questioning look as he was genuinely curious
how his friend could be so quiet around others but kids he
seemed to have the right words to say.
As if conversation summoned her, Fumi was back with some water
for the prince, her big doe eyes going to Sojoh’s face that was
exposed. She looked enamored, every Sakura could easily see that
by just reading her body language. “How sweet of you. His
highness has a few blades from the Yakutori province. Adoring
fine craftsmanship seems to be a family trait.” She said,
batting her eyes. It was a double meaning since the child seemed
to like Sojoh and she found him very nicely crafted. “You are
quite good with children. Do you have any of your own?” She
asked since most were not familiar with the warrior lifestyle.

When koji decided to speak on his people skills he pursed his
lips at him,"You are good with the old men, I'm better with
childen." He chided him before moving to replace his face mask
but it seemed this servent took every opportunity to get a
glance at him, and to be over complimenting. He had to admit it
was nice but he would have preferred it from Koji. As the woman
moved onto another question for him he shook his head,"I do not.
That is not our way or our life style." He stated smoothly
before moving away from them and going to check the perimeter,
leaving Koji and Fumi there as the prince went to look into the
food.
He took a drink of water from the spring, feeling relaxed in the
nature but wanted to get moving again.
It wasnt before lon the got the child to want to move on, again
shutting down the advances from the woman. He wasnt comfortable
with them, especially in front of Koji- much less on the job.
As night began to fall, they boys set up camp and got a fire
started, Koji going to hunt, mostly for their own food- since
they did not it wish to use the princes' stores. As the food was
cooking Sojoh got out his instrument and began to play a soft
song. It was calm but light enough to not sound sad. It was one
he knew Koji liked since he often hummed it when he drank.

Koji gave a chuckle at his insinuation. “You’re right. That’s
why we’re on a team.” He raised a brow at the servant’s
shameless flirting, especially when she looked slightly offended
and disappointed that Sojoh wasn’t paying attention to her. It
seem to make her cross, especially with Koji as it seemed that
her interest spoke so easily with him or seem to prefer his
company. Koji noticed the woman become a little short with him
occasionally, to which he would either glare Or make a snippy
comment back. Most of all Koji simply ignored her and went about
his business as if this were no other mission. That meant
spending time hunting and sitting by the fire with his partner.
As they waited for dinner to cook, Koji saw Sojoh pull out his
instrument and began to play. Koji perked up at the tune. A
smile pulling at his lips, he began to hum along quietly. “I
used to hear that tune on the delivery missions Lotus Cho-Hui
had me doing. It was my first missions in the theater district.
And I hadn’t really heard music before that...such a pretty
tune...” he reminisced on being a young teen, staring with wife
eyes at the performers playing in the street and how beautiful
the sound had been. He almost felt he was back to that time by
just hearing Sojoh play. “So, how did you pick up music? I know
they let us learn the arts...but did you earn it before you
joined or...”

When he heard Koji hum along softly he smiled softly, since a
musician loved that others enjoyed their music. "I learned when
I was young, I wasnt the best but master Sun allowed me to
learn, stated it helped make me more graceful." He stated
smoothly before focusing on playing again. The prince was
listening to the music and soon fell asleep, easily. It was a
bit later when the servent offered them something to drink, he
accepted and apologized for seeming rude before as it was part
of the mission to focus.
They ate, however Koji didn't seem the need to drink, even if
Sojoh didn't mind drinking some, since Koji was taking the first
watch. Sojoh did feel the eyes on the woman on him, as he drank-
he felt the drink was probably dosed with something. He had
already checked his bag and found that all his usual remedies
were missing, oddly since he always carried them. He sighed and
made his way over to Koji, laying down by him and relaxed. "You
know, I feel like I can Express myself better when I play the
Ehru, like it can sing the words for me when my lips fail me."
He murmured to koji since he was feeling odd. "My remedies are
all gone." He stated next but chuckled about it. So much for a
ninja- he allowed himself to be drugged.
