       Smart to start small?

       I'm working on a design for wine glasses, and I was thinking of
       doing a multi stage etch on it, and on top of that was thinking
       of doing a positive etch mixed with a negative etch, would this
       be ill advised or has someone done it?

       So you are thinking one on the outside and one on the INSIDE?
       Here is one of my first attempts at two stage work. (if it
       attaches ok) It's on a pie plate. Turned out ok.

       Actually no, my idea is to create the mask one negative and one
       positive and etch that creating basically in my eyes a
       multistage etch. We will see what happens I will pick up some
       glasses at the dollar tree. Wildgoose it looks good. see now I
       just am an amateur in this stuff.

       Martin I am not sure what you are trying to do but what will be
       the purpose of doing that? Could you try to post a picture of
       what you want,
       Goose the pie plate looks good, I like the way you did the
       outline.

       basically the 3/4 of an inch top of the glass would be crystal
       clear glass accept for some frosted grape leaves and vine, and
       the rest of the glass (not including stem) Would be frosted
       accept where the grapes would be those would be clear.

       Ok I understand now. Just to remind you to leave an area around
       the rim. Some people do not like the feel of the blasted area on
       their lips.

       I was thinking of that when I came up with the design. Hoping I
       get the glasses soon so I can try it out.
