The repression of the insurrection of September 1978 produced
between 1,500 and 2,000 deaths. Finally, between April 1979 and
July 19 of the same year, the country was plunged into a true
civil war, which caused at least 10,000 victims.5. In other
words, whatever the excessive violence deployed by the police
and Ortega's paramilitaries, as well as the cruelties suffered
by the detainees and the iniquities of the processes initiated
against the opponents from 2022, we are very far from violence.
deployed by the Somoza National Guard.
But this parallelism between Somocismo and the Phone Number List

of Ortega and Murillo is still misleading
for other reasons: it eliminates a decisive feature of the
political experience of the latter two. Ortega and Murillo are
by no means honest revolutionary heroes, who would have recently
been corrupted by the return to power and its benefits. On the
contrary, Ortega is a key character in the totalitarian
transformation of this initially pluralist and non-aligned
project, which meant the overthrow of Somoza and the revolution
of July 19, 1979. In other words, if we have to make the
comparison between the Somocismo and Orteguismo, we cannot avoid
a critical analysis of the totalitarian moments of the
Sandinista Revolution in the 1980s. The return of totalitarian
schemes In the absence of space for extensive analysis, let us
       briefly recall the facts.

It is known that the acceptance of the political project that
was negotiated between the different components of the
opposition to Somoza starting in 1978 and that allowed his
overthrow alone was for the majority of Sandinista cadres a kind
of stratagem. Even before his arrival in Managua, his objective
was to impose his hegemony in the revolutionary process. The
first emblematic gesture was the appointment of a fifth member
to the Government Board of National Reconstruction ( jgrn ),
Daniel Ortega, which allowed the Sandinistas to obtain the
       majority.
