A Vanilla server looks interesting to me, especially since I
just started playing Minecraft and have no clue about Mods and
things. Do many people play on this server? I may check it out
tonight

Yeah, we have several regulars who play on the Vanilla server
and not the main server. Its a choice of preference, mainly.
Vanilla is basically a way of playing with only what the
actually Minecraft intended. A semi-Vanilla, such has ours,
generally uses the CraftBukkit version (where plugins can be
added to enhance gameplay). However, semi-vanilla servers
usually don't add much to the game. Many add plugins allowing
you to lock chest, and other basic commands. We do't really add
anything to enhance gameplay, as far as the user can see. We
may have a couple extra commands available, but that is it.
Most of the plugins we add are for administrative purposes to
protect against griefers and the like. As you can tell, I'm
sure, its a lot different on our other server!
Of course, you are welcome to play on either, or both servers.

check out our Ventrilo server, if you have Vent, or if you
download the free client from their website at www.ventrilo.com

Thx. I will get Vent, although I am not very talkative. Kinda
shy and all that, but I realize its an advantage to have in
these games. I think I will likely play on both servers. I
like the Vanilla server, but the Main is really cool so far.
