well we got some people in our town that havent been on in a
month and i was wondering what i should do with there stuff so
T_I_M_I_D needs to come get his stuff in the next two days or it
will bew disposed of and his house will be torn down as well and
he will be kicked from town

Personally, I don't feel a month is sufficient time to warrant
the destruction of ones builds, or disposing of their
properties. Many members have have extented absences for one
reason or another, but they still come back, to pick up where
they left off. Especially during the summer, when many people
are on vacation, or may be working more since they don't have
school, etc. We saw this drought last summer as well, and it
picked up again after school started.
Technically, looking at Timid, he was on the main server about
two and a half weeks ago.
By your logic, we'd have to remove all of Prd's buildings and
belongings, as well as GillesRich's. Some of the buildings in
or near your town were built by them too! So, we should take
them down too, right?
I think it would be a good idea, as a community, to decide what
a fair time could be, and put that in our rules for all to see!
This would be a much more fair remedy!
Take Tw, for another example. He is still around, but hasn't
had a computer to log into the games with. Does that mean we
should just destroy his builds and take all his stuff as well?
I think it's best to work around their stuff for now, until we
can put a more permanent rule in place to cover this. But I
certainly don't feel 3 months is unreasonable for being away at
a time. Life comes up and people can't play games at times for
whatever reason. I would recommend even maybe 6 months, at
which time their belongings and builds could be auctioned by
Admin, or something more fair, like that. But it would have to
be stated specifically in our rules and guidelines.
The only other fair way would be to leave a message for them in
the forums and on the servers, and ask them if its ok to remove
their buildings and stuff since they haven't been on in a while,
and if so, have them contact myself directly, or another
Admin/Mod who is online and the the Admin/Mod take care of it
appropriately. That way, no one can come back and accuse another
player of griefing and stealing their stuff.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

yes i think 6 monthys is good i left his house there with all
his belongings so nothing will be destroyed or touched i just
wanted to know what an appropiate time would be thanks for the
idea an d i wont touch his stuff or house it will all be left
alone

The stuff of the player who u are kicking out of your town
should not be disposed of as it has probely taken them them a
while to colect it all the blocks and itoms from the players
house and chests should all be put in a chest out side of town
for the player to colect if or when he / she comes back on
this is what i think

6 months with no communication from the player would be ok with
me. I think they've effectively abandoned their property at that
point. If the person is still participating on the forums and
vent, I'd say it's more of a case-by-case thing.

I will be back in town soon . . . but you can tear down my house
whenever you want. But, you can't take away the blocks . . .
I'll just rebuild it :)
