Even with a different world, it wouldn't work unless we added a
plugin like Multinv. We aren't currently using it with our
servers.

I think instead of asking a question at a time, especially as
several of us have no idea how the hunger games work, I would
suggest you consider drawing up a very detailed plan; explaining
what it is, how it will work, what players can/can't do, what is
expected of the players, what the outcome is, and so on. Be as
detailed as possible. Can we even be sure if something like this
is even feasible for our servers? Don't get me wrong! I think
its could be a neat idea, and don't want to discourage it. But I
think more information needs to be provided to us.
From what I am seeing so far, its going to be a major build and
require a lot of spawned items. And thats just the start! The
next obstacle I can see that you have to overcome is how you are
going to keep players from bringing personal items into the
arena. Thirdly, you said they aren't supposed to escape? Even if
bedrock was used, how will you know if they set a home there and
tp'd in and out, to either get away, or to get personal items to
bring back into the game. And at this point, who knows if there
are more obstacles that need to be considered.
A detailed proposal would be beneficial to us all if we are to
consider whether this is something we can do or not. I look
forward to seeing more about this soon!

I will explain the rest later but first one more question
65wolf u know the dungions u made would it be posible to set it
up like one of them
So that damaged blocks res pawn every 7-8 hours and so people
can't telaport out as well as the stuff in chests around the
arena reseting so I dont have to manually reset them.

Most likely dungeons won't work. If you're talking about
something as big as 2000-3000 blocks, mostly like it will not
work!
Again, I have no clue what the hunger games really are, or how
they work, so I cannot really say if the dungeons would even be
a suitable answer to the idea or not. That is why I am
recommending providing us with a more detailed proposal, in
order to help us to understand more about what is needed.
Some of the things we would need to know would include the
following: What kind of layout is needed? How do players
interact within the arena and surroundings? What do they need to
do in order to survive? What is expected of players in order for
them to complete the game? How would they interact with other
players? What is the goal? Why such a big area would be
required? Etc... The more infomation you can provide, the
better we might be able to assist in coming up with solution.

The hunger games is where 1 boy and 1 girl from each town are
picked to go to a huge arena to fight to the death and only the
winner gets to go home as well as he / she geting a bit of loot.
In the arena I want to build it would not be 2 people from each
town but instead whoever wants to go to the arena
Now that I come to think about it I don't realy know exactly how
this would work out
But it could be set out as a healy mob infested survive arena
Anorther problem would be that it would require a new portal
from each town
Unless some one can help me out with how I can get a working
hunger games arena I might have to give up

Not saying that its a waste of time. Its always nice to have
more options and events on the server to do. I'm just confused
as to the logistics of how it is supposed to work. Like I said,
I have no idea what the hunger games are. I know there are
servers that have done it. But not sure how or what. That is why
I'm looking for more information. If its primarily a PvP arena,
wouldn't 2000-3000 block range be a big excessive? How would
they find each other? How long is it supposed to last? Are we
talking like a 1/2 hour event? Many days? Someone told me that
you'd be hiding from other players. I don't know. Thats just
one of the many things I'm hearing.. so it would be easier to
understand if more information about how it is supposed to work
is provided.
Is there anyone else is familiar with the particulars of the
Hunger games that could help him out? Thanks!

I'm pressed for time right now, I was just checking in after
returning home. I got excited when I read this thread, though,
as I am a huge Hunger Games fan and I do enjoy PvP, so naturally
this idea is something I would like to see made into reality on
our server.
