Positions for Moderators and Admins! ** READ **

First of all, I would like to say Happy Easter! I hope everyone
had a great holiday weekend!!
I've been thinking about this for some time, just haven't gotten
around to posting about it yet... so here it is!
As the servers are starting to grow, and are becoming more
active, it is time for us to start looking in to promoting a
couple more Moderators and another Admin or two.
Now, I know everyone would love to be one or the other... but
what I would like to hear from you guys, is who do you think
would make a good (and fair) Moderator or Admin... and explain
why! I don't just want a bunch of names in the hat, so to
speak. I want to know why you guys think the person you suggest
would be good. Some of us Admins/Mods don't always get a chance
to really get to know everyone, because there is so much going
on. We try, but its not always possible. So thats where I am
relying on you guys to help us in this decision. My goal would
be to have at least one Moderator and/or one Admin available on
the servers to assist, as necessary, when people are playing on
the servers!
After you have had a chance to make your suggestions, we intend
to discuss this further amongst the current Admins and Mods.
Once it is determined who we would like to see be promoted, we
will talk to the individuals involved to insure they are willing
to make the commitment. After that time, we will then announce
who the new Mods/Admins will be, based on our decisions!

Currently, the Admins are: 65Wolf (myself), Dragoon11024, and
Ennder1254. Ennder isnt' really on much as an Admin anymore,
and when he is on, its just to play as a regular Member on the
Vanilla Server. Basically, he's my 'goto-guy' if theres an issue
that needs to be addressed when I'm at work, away from home, and
need someone to phsyically go in and do something on the servers
for me!
Moderators currently include: Twsb156Anok, LuciferIsGod, and
GillesRich.

Moderators responsibilities would include:

[li]Be available to assist Members with issues on the servers
and forums, as needed.[/li]
[li]Help keep an eye on the servers and the players![/li]
[li]Playing and interacting in a fair and appropriate manner at
all times![/li]
[li]Abide by and enforce all the server rules![/li]
[li]Treat members fairly![/li]
[li]Do NOT abuse your Moderator powers, and do not use them to
give yourself and unfair advantage in game![/li]
[li]Monitor the forums regularly for updates and information
pertaining to the servers, especially the Moderator/Admin
Forums![/li]
[li]Make recommendations or suggestions as to how we can improve
communications with Members.[/li]
[li]Use the Moderators/Admins Forums to communication with, and
let them know what you have dealt with, or are dealing with at
the time![/li]
[li]Notify 65Wolf, and other Mods/Admins of any and all
incidents happening on the servers and forums.[/li][/list]
The Admins would have considerably more responsibilities than
just a Moderator. Admins would be responsible for all the same
duties as a Moderator, and more! Some of the others things that
an Admin may be responsible for include:

[li]Be available a good part of the time to help keep an eye on
the servers and players![/li]
[li]Playing and interacting in a fair and appropriate manner at
all times![/li]
[li]Abide by and enforce all the server rules![/li]
[li]Treat members fairly![/li]
[li]Doing background checks on applicants.[/li]
[li]Accepting/Rejecting New Member Applications.[/li]
[li]Promoting/Demoting members, when necessary.[/li]
[li]Assisting members with issues, such as griefing, stealing,
etc.[/li]
[li]Understanding all of the plugins we use, their commands, and
knowing how they work![/li]
[li]Reviewing server logs.[/li]
[li]Jailing players, if and when necessary, and dealing with
those players to ensure negative behavior will not
continue.[/li]
[li]Rolling back the server, or specific areas, as necessary to
repair grief damage by other players.[/li]
[li]Banning players AND their IP's of definite Griefers,
Hackers, Spammers, etc.[/li]
[li]Assist players with any and all issues they have on the
servers.[/li]
[li]Assist members on the forums as well in on the servers![/li]
[li]Work with Moderators to find solutions to players'
issues.[/li]
[li]Admins will help maintain a positive atmosphere on all
servers, including the forums and ventrilo.[/li]
[li]Help keep the forums up to date.[/li]
[li]Keep other Mods/Admins informed as to incidents you have
dealt with, or are dealing with.[/li]
[li]Use the Moderators/Admins Forums to communication with![/li]
[li]Notify 65Wolf of any and all incidents happening on the
servers and forums![/li][/list]
*These lists are not complete. There may be other expectations
required of the Moderators and Admins. This just gives an idea
of some of the things we will expect of our Mods/Admins. These
positions are not to be taken lightly! They are meant to be a
part of the backbone of our servers, as well as of the WolfCraft
Gaming community in general.

So you're looking for more Moderators and Admins... Here are my
thoughts and suggestions.
I think you definitely need more than one admin on the vanilla
server. It would take quite a bit of workload off your shoulders
if you were to share some of those admin duties with other
players on the server.
Here are my suggestions for promotions on the vanilla server:

find he's proven himself to be very reliable and
trustworthy.<br/><br/> [/li]
[li]GillesRich --> I would like to submit my candidacy to
upgrade my role from Moderator to Administrator<br>I would be
more than happy to help you out with some of the Admin
duties.[/li]

This would mean that there would be 2 vacant Moderator spots if
you were to implement the 2 suggestions above.

[li]Prd30 --> Promote from Member to Moderator<br/>Prd30 brings
maturity and great ideas to the server. He frequents the vanilla
server often enough for him to play an important role as a
moderator<br/><br/>[/li]
[li]Erundur --> Promote from Member to Moderator <br/>I've
witnessed erundur taking on the moderator role a few times by
asking players to behave themself in a more favourable manor on
the vanilla server which tells me that he truly agrees with the
rules set forth by 65wolf.[/li]

Not to sound stuck up, but I think fit the qualifications to
become a mod/admin for the normal server. Firstly, I own and run
my own town. Secondly, I am very often playing and am very
active on the servers. Thirdly, I have brought a total of 5+
people to the servers. Fourtly, I have been very trustworthy
with Wolf or whoever else I am talking too. And lastly, I think
I have the creative skill set to help add to this server and
make it a more interesting/artfull place.

I'll be looking to talk to the other Admins/Mods by this weekend
for input on candidates and looking to make my final decisions
soon! If anybody has any other recommendations for who would
make good Admins/Mods, please let us know what your thoughts
are! THANKS!!
