       Four Months and One Day: A Memoir of Lost Love

       ... the tragic story of an American and a French/Mexican woman
       who find themselves battling culture, language and mental
       illness, over the love of a dying Persian man.
       As the story slowly unfolds, the animosity between both women
       grows to the fever pitch of hatred, until there is little left,
       other than shame, grief and fierce remorse.
       The story ends with the man they both love dying suddenly in
       2008.
       The issues raised in this memoir involve mental illness, drug
       addiction, erotomania, deception and the despair of the Iranian
       diaspora.
       It is a story with few winners that clearly illustrates the
       damage done when people deceive and use each other for their own
       means.
