it really wasn't even supp[o]sed to happen.

---------------------------------------------------------
My oh my, this really wasn't supposed to happen in
the first place, and now the medicine cat was stuck in this
whole triangle type thing.
First, he had broken the warrior code by knocking up a she-cat
he met in the edge of the forest. She was high on catnip and it
was only supposed to be a one time thing, but she ended up
pregnant and oh god he was the medicine cat of ShadowClan, for
crying out loud.
Adding to that, the stupid she-cat was from another clan and
even after she got pregnant, they kept on meeting in secret and
Vividspeculation was undoubtedly falling for her, paws over
paws.
The meetings went well. They carried on as friends; she didn't
really know she was pregnant until she saw the rather noticeable
bulge between her hind legs and everyone was telling her
'congratulations!'. So, of course, like everyone in their right
mind - even if she wasn't in her right mind by eating catnip and
mating with an unfamiliar tom who reeked of another clan - she
decided to call it off.
Yes, it absolutely drove a stake through her heart to tell him
that they should really call it off or someone was going to find
out. Yes, he understood but he was really upset as well, but he
didn't blame her. He wanted to raise the kits with her, he
wanted to be with her but the kits were already half-clan and he
was the medicine cat, so he couldn't.
Vividspeculation bid a final farewell when the she-cat let out a
heart wrenching scream of pain and before he even knew it, the
stupid she-cat he fell for, hard, actually fell and hit the
floor - hard. He could tell she was in agony and oh god, he was
a medicine cat and he should've known what to freaking do but
his paws were glued to the floor practically. He watched three
tiny kits, his kits, pop out one right after the other and oh,
there was so much blood.
He could hear her say, StarClan help me, but he couldn't move
and he watched as the life drained from his lover's eyes like
the moon sinking to the horizon. Quickly, he made a story - he
stumbled across a dead body and the three newborn kits and it
sounded pretty realistic so he shoved all three of their scruffs
in his mouth and ran like hell to the Nursery.
Gently he put the three kits in the moss bed of an expecting
mother and hurriedly explained himself. She was shocked, mainly,
and agreed to help the little ones, she was that amazing.
Now, Vividspeculation dragged himself out of the Nursery with
his head low and padded to the leader's den, calling his name
outside.
Oh, StarClan, help him.

"You look sick, Vivid. Are you okay?" Placidpaw,
his apprentice, said with a concerning twinkle in her eye. She
cared deeply for her mentor, and something was obviously
bothering him. She could tell that. He had come out of the
nursery, looking as he did now. Placidpaw could hear the
squealing of kits though none of ShadowClan's queens had
recently given birth. At least, that's what she though. If so,
she was angry at Vivid for not teaching her how to deal with a
birthing queen. "What's wrong?"

[sup]Southernstar was calmly laying down
in his den trying to take a nice nap, but hearing his name had
caught his attention. But then he heard another voice, he
recognized both of them, since he had sure to know whos the
other high positioned cats. Getting up to his paws, he stretched
a bit before peeking out of his den to see both the medicine cat
and his apprentice in front of his den. "Placidpaw?
Vividspeculations? Whats going on, what is it that you need from
me?" he asked looking at the two. [/sup]

Vividspeculation opened his mouth to speak to the
younger apprentice when he heard Southernstar's voice. "I was
gathering herbs in the forest," lies "and I stumbled across a
dead body that was caked with blood. There was three newborn
kits near her so I couldn't just leave them, and I took them
here and you know how Septemberpaw is expecting, right? Well,
she agreed to help me out and you know, raise them."
And, with a cough, "I want to be their father, though."

Placidpaw stood, staring, at Vividspeculation, her
mouth agape. "You want to be their father?" It wasn't against
the rules; as he didn't really father the kits, right? "I want
to be their older sister!" She exclaimed happily, a bright look
plastered on her torbie face. "Can I see them now?"

A light brown tabby moved his way towards the group, dipping his
head to the cats gathered. "What's going on here?" Rattlesnake
inquired, looking at the Kits. "I heard you wanted to be their
father." He replied, looking at the Medicine Cat. He wasn't
exactly sure why a Medicine Cat would want to be the father, if
he liked being a Medicine Cat, then he would have to live
without fathering Kits. Of course, he would gladly help father
the Kits if the Medicine Cat was not able to.

The look on the deputy's face clearly stated he would
father the kits if Vividspeculation could not; anger bubbled
inside of him.
"I have found some kits in the forest," he mewed, voice terse.
"If I am able to, I would like to father them . . . I couldn't
just leave helpless, newborn kits by themselves."
"I know, I am the medicine cat, but something in me tells me
they have a special potential, like StarClan has something big
planned for them. Please, I think they could be
important."

Feeling she shouldn't be one to speak, she pushed
it back so her roleplayer could be true to her personality.
"Well, I think it's awesome! It's not like he was the real
father, anyway, of course." Placidpaw meowed pointedly, glancing
up at Vivid. "Did you see what clan the mom was?"

This was one of the rare times when Rattlesnkae was strict. He
could just imagine it now, sick and ingured cats Latin around
while the Medicine Cat was off taking his Kits exploring. "If
you see potential, then you can choose one as another
Apprentice." He replied. The Deputy did not want the Medicine
Cta to father the Kits, but in the end, it was the Leader's
descision. "It's up to your Leader."

"RiverClan," he responded to his apprentice, and then
whirled on the deputy, tail slicing the air.
My kits wouldn't want to follow in their failed father's
footsteps, he thought bitterly.
His expression was easier to read than a book. Vividspeculation
had grown to the put where he could read his clan mates even
easier than himself. "You really think I'd leave injured or sick
cats to die, just because m- the kits wanted to go exploring?
Even if I was practically forced to become medicine cat because
of my injury and the former medicine cat didn't have an
apprentice, it is my duty in the clan to help those in need.
StarClan had different plans than to become a warrior, and I
will not tolerate you thinking that I would turn my back on the
clan for a second."
Vividspeculation could practically just spew lies out every
second.
