Patchpaw looked the burdock root over, her tail tip twitching.
"To cure rat bites?" she mewed questioningly, turning to her
mentor.

[sup]"Correct, Lets see" she paused
thinking for a few minutes of what else to say. "Ok, lets say a
cat comes in with sore muscles, what would you give them? she
asked.[/sup]

Patchpaw thought for a few moments. The young she-cat ducked her

embarrassment.

[sup]"No need to be embarrassed, I
remember once when I was an apprentice when I had forgotten a
lesson" she replied. Turning she grabbed comfrey and poppy
seeds, and placed them in front of her. "For sore muscles you
would use two herbs, comfrey and poppy seeds" she said pointing
with her tail to the two in between them. "You would give them
some poppy seeds, and then using the comfrey rub it on the sore
spot while its chewed up" she informed.[/sup]

The black and white apprentice nodded, staring at the herbs.
"So, comfrey is for sore muscles, but why would we use poppy
seeds?" she asked quizzically, her green eyes bright.

[sup]"poppy seeds will help them rest
easier" she answered. She started to place the herbs back on the
store. "We'll do one more lesson and then head off to collect
some herbs" Funhouse said to Patchpaw. [/sup]
