Herb training? [p;; Leafy]
By: hawkfire Date: October 7, 2012, 12:09 am

The young medicine cat apprentice sat in the medicine den, her
tail tip twitching restlessly. She was sooo bored! Finally the
tortoiseshell feline got up and looked around for her mentor.
"Funhouse?" Patchpaw called, her green eyes glowing.

[sup]Fanhouse had been out for a bit to
catch a breather, the blue she-cat was just now returning. As
she was now in camp, she made her way over to the medicine cats
den, in time to hear her apprentice call for her. She answered
back to Patchpaw "Yes?" just as she entered the den. She gave
her skinny furred tail a flick as she watched a response back
from the apprentice. [/sup]

Patchpaw looked up, her green eyes warm, as she smiled at her
mentor. "Well, I was wondering if we could do some herb
training." she mewed hopefully, her tail lashing.

[sup]She went further into the den to were
the herbs where located, of course she'd need them to both heal
and teach her apprentice. she looked back over at Patchpaw and
gave a nod "Sure, of course we can" she answered. She looked
back at the herbs wondering what she would teach her apprentice
this time. But before that she would have a review of what she
taught Patchpaw "As a review, tell me what you can remember from
our last lesson?" she asked.

Patchpaw nodded eagerly, then began to think hard. "Poppy seeds
help cats go to sleep and numb pain, goldenrod is good for
healing wounds, tansy cures coughs and sore throats, and ragwort
. . ." the apprentice's words trailed off. That was a hard one.
"Let me think . . ." the tortoiseshell mewed.

[sup]Funhouse nodded at the herbs her
apprentice was naming off "Is their anything else you can
remember, its ok if you can't" she egged on. The blue she-cat
waited quietly and calmly to see if their was anything else, if
not then she can think of todays lesson.[/sup]

Patchpaw paused, looking thoughtful. "Marigold cures
infections?" she guessed. Ugh, she hated the times when she
couldn't please Funhouse. Being so forgetful wasn't a very good
quality for a medicine cat or their apprentice.

[sup]She gave a smile showing approval
"Good job!" she praised her apprentice. She turned to the stock,
only to bring down a plant that looks like a root. "Can you give
a guess what this is?" she asked looking up at
Patchpaw.[/sup]

The apprentice tilted her head, studying the plant. Jeez, why
was this so hard? "Burdock root?" she mewed. She'd heard
Funhouse mention that name before, and this looked like a root,
too.
