So does anyone have any personal goals for the phase. Or any

I'd just like to see us do even better than last time. We did
very well, considering our size!
Also, since Nod said they are going to do "brackets" this time,
I'd like to see us win our bracket, whatever that turns out to
be.

At least one spy camp and a barter camp. Other than that I do
not know any specifics.

So my goal is to finish closer to rank 1 in a region

Personally, I want to finish Lannister nd get going on
Baratheon. Asap.
For AvA, there is a lot I'd love to see us do. We may be able to
grab a backet prize. We should wait to see what all the prizes
are. There are some awards based on what an alliance does per
active player rather then totaling up whatever is spotlighted.
Ironbank is an example. We could get something like that. The
prizes for that last phase were better then those for placing in
region.
Camps - Fight, Swindle and Steal offwer the best VP potential.
All camps provide boosts in all the talents and more so in the
specialties. No matter what actions re taken, boosts will be
there. We don't have do the actions that correlate to what the
camps are. I say this because from what I understand we wish to
have a reputation as an honorable, benevolent alliance.
To raise camps (1 Battle, 1 Trade and 1 Intrigue) to level 4 can
be done in 3 H 40M (optimal) and would require a total 363K
silver and the following resources:
60 Cloth 30 Grain 30 Smallfolk 60 Wood 90 Fur 60
Horse 135 Stone 120 Ore 105 Fish 7 Dagger 7
Doublet 7 Leather Bound Books
7 Silver Chains 7 Milk of the Poppy 7 Linen Clothing 21
Red Gems
Not much more to get to level 5 but war tokens are required for
camps over level 4.

As far as I know, we will have camps for Barter, Aid, Spy,
probably Swindle, and possibly another hostile action. That's
what I've gathered from what Freya has said at various times,
although I might have misunderstood something. I think the
Swindle is because we have the best chance at filling up the
Trade AC, since we already have all the Barter and Bribe spoils.
Nod seemed to say that the camp materials for upgrades may be
changing because they previously relied too heavily on crafting
in the Market. In the meantime, I am still crafting based on the
previous requirements; hopefully many of them will stay the
same. If they change Silver Chains to something else, I would
be happy!

Yeah the camp resources have changed, but those are pretty
minor.
Some enlightenment by Lady Freya would be cool.

Okay, now that we have information on the changes for Ghost
phase, I think we can start solidify plans. I think that the
changes in VP earned by camps means we may not want to go
forward with mutual combat with allies, as our camp status will
play an important role. It also looks like having swords
garrisoned may increase vp, so we will need to consider that as
part of the strategy.
I don't want to pick the region until they post the rewards
schedule for next phase. I think we have a real chance at
taking one of the region specific prizes, I'd like to pick the
region based on what type of spoils we are going after, which
leads to what kind of camps we want, and how high we will
upgrade.
I would like to suggest the following:
One aid camp. With camp repair being an important element, we
will need help from our allies if we are attacked, and returning
aid is always expected. I also should have 40 aid spoils after
I convert my leftovers, which means we can reach level 6 fairly
quickly.
One swindle camp. I'm picking this solely because of the Deal
of a Lifetime challenge. There's risk in this choice, because
if you fail in swindle our camp is damaged. If the challenge is
not a priority for anyone, we can fill it as we go and not worry
about building a camp. If we don't do a swindle camp, then I
would suggest barter, as it has been a very successful strategy
to use barters to pay for camp upgrades, and while I don't have
enough leftover spoils to finish level 6, it's pretty close.
One intrigue camp, and spy is what I'm leaning towards. I think
we will be doing a lot - or our spymaster Henly will on our
behalf. If not intrigue/spy, then the third camp should be what
kind of hostile actions we want to wage against those we target
as enemies.
I think we will want to focus on one region, as camp upgrades
will be crucial. We made it in the top 20 in our chosen region
last round, I see no reason for us not to reach top 10 this
phase!
I will add only this. AvA is voluntary. I don't want anyone to
burn themselves out churning out supplies and doing AvA
missions. Primary goal will always be having fun in the game!

That sounds good, Freya. Personally, I would prefer Barter to
Swindle. I am weakest in Swindle, and I only have 2 SSs, who are
both rather weak. My Merchants are a bit stronger, and I have
five of them.
I have been hiring some more SSs for garrisoning, although I
don't have any experience or knowledge of how to do it most
effectively. So far, I'm training 1 each in Fight, Harrass,
Sabotage, Swindle, and Steal. How does that sound? They're all
new-hires, so low-level and their gear isn't top-notch, but I'm
training them up best I can.
