Ok, just kinda looking ahead here now that our little to-do with
the PoOs is at an end.
Looking at the top 10 in the Reach (we are in top10! who'da
thunk!!) there are potentially 2 aggressors who had both made
known that they are watching us. One cautiously, the other not
so nice nice. And they are of course
The North
Wolves n Dragons
It wont come as a surprise if their attention would become more
intense, maybe even hostile, should we progress further up the
ranks and come close enough to be seen as a threat. Perhaps a
pact/coalition deal with WS to deal with them should be
initiated? maybe even include G14F and TBWB? (Could also help
defuse the hostilities between WS and G14Fs or am I being too
optimistic...?)
What do you guys think?

FWIW, WS have been fighting with WnD AND Pengies. Pengies now
proposing neutrality (but Wei's not sure what she'll do and
wants to discuss with her officers first), and Wei said she got
ravens from members of WnD asking for ceasefire (but not their
leader so far). So at this point it'd be nice if Freya and Wei
could discuss this, 'cause I'm not really qualified to even make
suggestions. I told her what little I know which is that you
guys had good working relationship with Pengies last phase and
that we're proposing friendship to them, but it's been pending
for who knows how long.

I sent a friend request to Penquins first phase and they never
responded. They are members of a small alliance group, and the
leader does have good insight on strategy and was the one who
made the camp supply list. I don't think we've had any direct
dealings with them at all, friendly or otherwise.
La Garde Draconique is the alliance we have very good relations
with, they always send spies with their aid, but they send a lot
of aid when asked.
Now that we have peace and friendship with PoW, next order of
business is whether to upgarde Ocean Rd or Oldtown (or both) and
whether to upgrade White Knife in the North. We have lots of
fight spoils, so we have a head start, or we can run the AC and
fill that spot right away (or both)
We could also consider either expanding in the North, or maybe
another camp in another region.

I'm thinking we should start thinking ahead for next phase,
rather than having too many camps now. Unless there are lots of
people going to reincarnate and need to dump stuff?
Two goals we set were possibly most Aids and top 10 in Reach...
we're doing well on that one at least, we do have to start
aiding in earnest, though. Is there anything else we want to
achieve this phase?

It has to be most Aids in the Reach, right?
I think we should do both spoils ACs before the end of the
phase, so that we can dump excess spoils into them before we
have to convert and lose 2/3 of them. Unless, as you say, we do
decide to either upgrade White Knife more or build more camps
with different specialties. Personally, I think that for our
size, four camps is probably enough. Unless we want to expand in
the North, in which case a Barter camp in that region might be
useful.
Train of thought: if we do expand into another region, we will
probably be asked for aid there, which might derail our chances
of most aids in the Reach.

I agree with Merianne on both the Ac/spoils dumping as well as
the dilution of our efforts in the Reach.
I'm not sure still what our overall game plan is. Maybe I'm too
optimistic but I think we should really go for top prize in the
Reach. I know it's a tad ambitious but I'm buoyed by the showing
we had during the whole PoW episode. Having seen how we all
worked together and the individual strengths of our members both
old and new, I seriously do think we stand a chance at the top
prizes.
Now if that is indeed what we will be striving for, then the
next step is to work out a strategy and plan our progress,
working out things in more details now and lay the groundwork
before week two is done.

I think our original plan to get Helping Hand in Reach is still
our goal. I opened White Knife before we got attacked so that
anyone that wanted to get their wilding horde on could have
someplace to pillage. :D The only reason to upgrade WK or
expand in the North is to boost overall ranking, but not at the
expense of our goal in The Reach.
Based on past phase experience I'm sure we will have new wars to
fight as alliances start elbowing each other for a higher rank,
so there will be more chances to fight in weeks to come.
Are we good with level 10 for Mander? I think even filling the
AC we would have the spoils for 11, but would making 350 militia
send us running madly away? I can start splint mail and rams
now if we think it's a good idea.

I'm making a case for keeping some of our camps at low level. I
know I sound like a broken record but I think it is something we
really should consider.

So what's the deal with the new camp in the Crownalds? I reckon
it was more Freya wanting to dump stuff than anything, but where
do we go with it now? (Just read MotD. D'oh.)
BTW I wonder if it's worth to build an camp in each subregion
and upgrade it to level 3-4 (so before it starts requiring units
and spoils) - didn't do the maths, but those could boost our
hourly VP for the overall rankings some :p
