I'm fine either way, but perhaps slightly prefer having a
Christmas truce.
Also, there's major lag in place, preventing I think mostly
everyone from logging into the game.
The last thing we discussed was that we should all hold onto our
upgrade materials until there's a clear plan about what we
upgrade and when. The only exception is Mander, which we are
sure we decided to upgrade further. But it'd be best NOT to
contribute anything to any other camps unless Freya shows up and
says otherwise.

I am all for spreading some Christmas cheer around but some kids
(cough PoW cough cough) deserve a lump of coal or at least some
lumps. However If I can attack random alliances then a
Christmas truce with PoW doesn't annoy me too much, bah humbug.
I would prefer the ability to harass, fight, sabotage, steal,
swindle, bribe, pillage, loot, and desecrate as opposed to
aiding/trading alliances so if the attacking random alliances
thing is ok let me know....please. lol
Honestly I don't mind either way so whatever you guys decide is
fine with me but as far as voting goes always count me in for
war.
I will continue to Aid and Barter until I figure out what I can
get away with 8)
I have been spying random alliances for spoils but will stop if
needed.
I may be a Warmonger

I'm all for option 1. And 2. Truce or no truce, one thing the
PoWs been good for is filling up our Christmas AC stockings with
spoils.
[Edit] If Truce fails, we can resort to Jon C's old alliance
tactic of sending PtP to the attacking PoW members
coughLeonaMorrigencough and keep them distracted. Since it's
already an all out war if they refuse truce, then might as well
make it personal, so to speak.

There's been a discussion about camp upgrades continuing vs
stopping at low level. As I have noted in chat and in another
part of the MB, I think there is a case to argue for the latter.
My personal opinion is that there should be a balance of both.
Ideally I would like to see 2 camps continuing upgrading and 1
remain low; using the two upgrade bonus for higher hourly VP
gain as well as to boost our strengths/defenses in
Battle/Intrigue/Trade (make our attacks more effective, render
enemies attacks less) whilst the low level one to mine for VP,
lending strength from the other higher level camps.
The trickier bit would be to decide where is the cut off point.
As is, Ocean Road is just a few spoils from leveling up to lvl 6
and I see no reason why we should not let it upgrade to 6 and
then decide from then on which of the camps we want to maintain
at level 6 and no more, should we decide that is the route we
want to go. It would be a waste of everyone's effort for all the
resources that had already been dumped if we stop at lvl 5 now.
I understand there is a concern for other alliances suropassing
us if we have a low level camp, which is why I suggest having 2
camps continue to upgrade rather than 1. And keeping it at level
6 would be enough to ensure enough hourly VP gain to make it
less likely.
Another tricky point is how high do we go i.e. do we continue
upgrading or do we have a target on what is the maximum level we
should get to before it becomes counter-productive. But that's
another discussion for further down the road although it would
be good to start considering it.

Screw the Christmas truce, they keep being PITA. Current plan is
to try to keep their Oldtown and Ocean Road at low health more
or less continuously, so at least they would lose the two most
useful bonuses to do us harm. So let's keep doing that
unless/until Freya says otherwise.
We sooo need one of those smileys brandishing an axe or
something >:(

I like option 1, too. The temporary truce makes no difference
to me. Somehow, I don't think they would go for it (or honor
it) even if we offered.
What I would like to know is about the camp upgrades. I've
stopped crafting for the moment, since I don't know what will be
useful or useless. Just let me know, and I'll get the buildings
working again.

Myrii: I think Mander will be upgraded to level 9, possibly 10
so that stuff would be safe to craft; of the other 2, I'd think
OR makes more sense to upgrade eventually, but really not sure
... might be a good idea to make a thread for spitballing about
possible upgrade strategies, so this one can be kept for the
straightforward stuff.
Well, I suppose eavesdroppers are never a waste anyway and
anything produced in siege works can be eventually used in ACs.
But yeah we really need to figure this out.

I like the PtP idea, but I don't know how I feel about attacking
Leona myself . . . as long as ourcamps are growing in level we
are becoming a bigger target. Something I learned today in the
DB forums is that the Alliances with the highest VP don't even
have camps or have level 1 camps they're attacking from. I don't
know if it was between the lines or what, but I had missed that

Yes I tried to point that out a few times :p Like in The Reach,
TBWB had only 1 camp last time I checked (maybe half a day
ago?). I suggest we make a thread for the purpose of discussing
this. The in-game chat is not very efficient. And this thread is
perhaps better kept for actual decisions...

Option #1 is a go then - continued war with Protecters of
Westerosi aka PoW. No garrisons until further notice. Hold on
to your silver and lets rely on aid from allies for camp
repairs.
Lets aim for level 10 on Mander.
Build traders for Oldtown, but hold on to them for now, we'll
discuss when to upgrade.
I'd like to finish Ocean Rd's current upgrade to 6, then decide
if that should go any higher.
Other options will always be on the table if we start getting
fatigued.
