Black Ice Winter Tourney!

W. Frey Events is planning another tourney in January, so let me
know if anyone would be interested in representing our alliance!
If there are several people interested, will will have jousts
to determine our champion.

You do not need to have a FB account, but you will need to share
your Thorium ID. I fought for us during the Month of the
Stranger tourney, and it was great fun. It's also a wonderful
opportunity to get to know other players outside the DB forum
and strengthen our friendships with our allies.

OFFICIAL RULES and ENTRY REQUIREMENTS for BLACK ICE TOURNAMENT!
The Tournament will be broken into 3 sections by date:
January 6th - January 12th:
Alliances choose their representing Champion.
January 17th - TBD (to be determined) based on number of
entrants:
Single elimination Bouts
Final Bout - TBD (Tentatively set for February 7th)
______ HOW TO ENTER: _____
ONE REPRESENTING CHAMPION PER ALLIANCE
Alliances may choose any member of their alliance to be their
Champion.
There are no requirements, however for the best chance to win
you will want one of your most powerful members.
Other means of finding a Champion could be contests,
mini-tourneys within your own alliance, etc.
Alliance Leaders/Officers should send the following information
in an email:
1. Alliance Name
2. Leader/Officer's Name
3. Champion's in-game Name
4. Champion's add friend link (this will be given to opponent at
time of Tournament so that players may locate each other to
arrange attacks.)
Once ALL INITIAL entries are received (Entries MUST be submitted
by JANUARY 12th 2014 at MIDNIGHT GMT) a NOTE will be attached to
the W.FREY EVENTS Facebook page on January 17th with a roster of
FIRST ROUND Contestants and their opponents with ingame contact
information. It is the SOLE responsibility of each Alliance to
refer to this document for bout pairing.
_____ TOURNAMENT RULES: _____
Champions will be paired against each other randomly.
Each will send 3 harmful attacks (FIGHT, HARASS, SWINDLE,
SABOTAGE, and/or STEAL) in any combination.
Helpful attacks (AID, SPY, BRIBE, BARTER) are not permitted.
Defenders may be used.
Whoever has the most offensive victories wins.
In the event of a tie: Champions will make a single tie breaking
attack. If another attack is required for a 2nd tie-breaker
contestants will be notified by tournament referees.
FOR EACH ROUND OF BOUTS - Champions will be given a date on
which to attack each other by Tournament Referees, posted to the
W.FREY EVENTS page wall.
On that date opponents will have 24 hours in which to complete
their attacks, take a screenshot of the results, and e-mail them
to GOTAINTERALLIANCETOURNAMENT@GMAIL.COM (More information on
screenshots will be given later)
Alliances may Aid their Champion.
Alliances are forbidden from sending Sabotage or to otherwise
attack their Champion's opponent; if this occurs the offending
alliance will be disqualified and a WIN will automatically be
awarded to the opponent.
_____ WINNING & REWARDS: _____
FOR ALL BOUTS:
The losing Champion will "call banners" on his opponent and the
losing alliance will shower the winner in Barters
The winner will move on to the next round and be given a new
opponent and a date to make their attacks.
FINAL BOUT CHAMPION:
The GRAND CHAMPION will receive 1 Custom Designed "Grand
Champion" TShirt
Assorted in-game rewards from our sponsors (awards vary)
The pride and bragging rights that only the Grand Champion
deserves!

Jon Connington will be our proud representative in the lists!
Once we know the schedule for the bouts we will schedule a wave
of aids to preceed his battle. We have to be careful not to
clutter his PtP log as he needs to take a screen shot of his
bouts.
Three cheers and a clash of swords for our champion! Huzzah!
