Something I've wanted to say for a long time.. < Wild >

People are telling others that LGBTQ+ shouldn't be featured in
certain books, like WoF and Warriors, because "it's a children's
series and the author wouldn't put that in".
       ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?
LGBTQ+ is completely able to be featured in kids' books.
Children should be able to know what LGBTQ+ is, and it shouldn't
be barred off from books just because the books are a
       "children's series"!
It's COMPLETELY okay to know what the LGBTQ+ community is early
on (but not so early that as soon as they open their eyes, they
should know everything about LGBTQ+) in your life. TOO MANY
TIMES I've heard of people getting angry at LGBTQ+ couples in
children's series because of the sole reason of "it's for kids"!
They CAN know that straight isn't the only orientation in the
       universe.
The author can write in LGBTQ+ couples, children's series or
       not.

Okay, I can understand that, but kids should first learn about
LGBT+ from their PARENTS, not from a book series, because then
       they wouldn't be as informed.

Kids learn about straight relationships, violence and all kinds
of other real life things in books. If parents are worried they
should monitor what their kid reads.

       Yeah. It's just...I dunno.
I would have rather learned about LGBT+ from my parents and not
the WOF forums, but I'm not blaming anyone or anything.
       Anywhoo.....
       Speaking of books...
Am I the only one who prefers the classics? Like Pride and
Prejudice, Frankenstein, the Phantom of the Opera, and stuff?

I haven't been reading as much as I should. I've never tried
reading anything like that. What I've been reading lately is
mostly short horror stories. I really need to read...

I agree, I personally never understood why LGBTQ+ shouldn't be
       in children's books or shows.

Every TV show that has a canon gay couple and fans ship another
one: You have your ship sweaty:) stay back
anyways wild you're right. it should be represented in
children's book and it should be represented well (supergirl can
       Leave....atomic blond can LEAVE.....glee can choke.....so on).
       DOD SPOILERS BELOW
and im just So Happy that anemone is confirmed to be a wlw and
it just wasn't a big deal to turtle....like the surprise came
from anemone having a crush on someone, not that she had a crush
on a girl. not to mention its an intertribal crush which is the
closest thing we get to an interracial crush with dragons.
I'm so happy that when qibli talked about marrying winter, cobra
reacted by saying marrying an icewing may have perks, not
anything to do with the fact that qibli was talking about
       marrying a guy.
YES, TUI. erase that homophobia. whats homophobia? dragons dont
know. sorry, homophobic people, you cant have the dragons,
       theyre ours now.

Yeah sure that's okay, just as long as they don't get too
detailed? Like, it's okay for side characters or little
references but shouldn't be a huge feature in a kids books.
(HEY I JUST REALIZED THIS CHUNK OF POST TURNED INTO A RANT AT MY
MOM, YOU DON'T NEED TO READ IT)
Angel, My parents taught me nothing of anything of the teenage
world. My parents have not explained my period, hormones, boys,
sexuality, or really anything of the teenage spectrum. A few
years ago I had to look up a video on YouTube to explain all
that, the rest I had to ask teachers or classmates to explain.
It's not that they couldn't have explained it, it's just there
explanations are terrible. Mom sees me start my period: "The
pads are in this cabinet. Don't worry this happens to all girls,
bye". That, was not cool at all. I was expecting a chart of my
guts and my mom explaining the process in a scientific way,
which I can process more easily. Knowing where everything is in
my body and why it's there. When I'm a mom my kid will get a
chart. I'm going to pour as much information in there head so
they don't feel completely lost like I was. I feel scared to ask
       questions about subjects this sensitive.
