[font=arial]Okay so I want to keep this thread free of my art
for the most part, but I wanted to show off this old ref of one
of my OCs
For those who don't know, this is Darius. He's a fallen angel
that was created to be the main protagonist of a novel I'll
probably never write.
No, he doesn't look like your typical angel. I specifically
recreated angels and demons to fit my world. In said world,
angels' true forms are humanoid-looking bird creatures that
serve the cruel God Albion. They're are based off either
powerful birds of prey, or pretty birds of paradise, and almost
all of them are incredibly high and mighty. Darius was banished
from the heavens for defying Albion, and was cursed to become a
mindless demon unless he could redeem himself.

Why am I posting this? Because I just had an idea. Darius is
based off of the Harpy Eagle, which are one of the biggest and
strongest birds out there. So I figured that the highest ranking
angels, which would include Darius, are Seraphim. This isn't
obvious when you look at them (They all normally have only two
wings), but they are much stronger and faster than regular
angels. When subjected to intense stress, pressure or emotions,
they change into "True" Seraphim. Two more sets of wings force
their way through the angel's back, and they gain a massive
power boost. However, they are unable to control this power and
often lose control of themselves, lashing out at anything and
everything, including themselves. Some Seraphim have killed
themselves trying to control this power.[/font]
