apparently i'm not allowed to delete the first thing i post?
anyways i remembered this place existed and came to apologize
for my conservative/libtertarian phase and take stuff down. I
was a dumb kid who did not have a whole lot of exposure to other
viewpoints and i have since grown as a person. Please don't
bring this stuff up in conversation, i generally prefer to let
       it melt into oblivion.
Just in case you're one of the people i don't talk to often and
haven't heard this before, I want to officially apologize for
the harmful things I have said. I got very righteous, but I said
so many hurtful things without understanding why they were
wrong. If I ever hurt you, I am sorry.
uhh be gay do crime <3

I like sitting with my legs open, its comfortable. But my
teachers and classmates automatically yell at me when I do it.
Ms. Ava said it wasn't "lady like" and I almost got a detention
       for it.
I've never heard of men doing it being offensive. It's quite
natural for them, so I never really paid attention. I've always
felt like the separation between genders is too far apart.
Though I've always been inbetween. As a kid I loved all sorts of
things and toys, I never cared if they were for a girl or for a
boy. I liked littlest pet shops and it was me and one other girl
(a full on tomboy) out on the court with 30 boys, playing catch
the fly. I liked everything that could keep my overactive mind
busy. I didn't see the difference in genders... Just people.
Kids. Humans. And I think everyone should see that way too.
I guess now years of being taught what I am by older women is
starting to get through to me, since genders are starting to
separate a bit, or maybe it's just high school. I don't know but
       I think you'll agree.

Well, I don't think it's fair to get mad at feminists because
there is sexism in society. Ignoring a problem doesn't make it
       go away.
First of all, people who claim to be feminists and are
misandrists aren't feminist. It isn't fair to call them
feminists and use them to discredit the movement any more than
it would be okay to claim the KKK are Christians, and therefore
all Christians are racist and awful.
You frequently use your successful mom as evidence to debunk the
wage gap, but I don't think you realize that that successful job
is not a reality for a lot of women. It's great that your mom
has a good job, but that also means you've grown up priveleged.
Most people have no experienced that. In 2016, women were paid
80% of what men were paid. A part of the wage gap is that women
are forced into less high-paying jobs. I took a class called
Energy, Power, and Transportation last year. There were 3 girls
in that class, 2 girls at the end of the year. One of them was a
senior who just needed the STEM credit to graduate.
A lot of the "hypocrisy" is plain misunderstood. Misandry is not
an actual force in society, so you can't compare all-women's
groups/companies to a group that's excusively for men. In fact,
a lot of the reason for these groups is that men talk over
female counterparts. Studies have shown that a female graduate
student will rate herself as less competent as a male graduate
student would. Society sends subconscious messages to people. In
several of my classes, I sit next to boys who simply don't
listen when we have to work together on projects. If I try to
say something, they talk louder and insist they're right.
There are people at my school who mutter "this country needs
more men" or snort derisively when the teacher makes a comment
about how more women doing work and taking care of themselves is
a good thing. 19 women accused the president of sexual
misconduct, and a tape of him bragging about sexual assault was
leaked, but he still got elected.
A lot of the things you describe as being so trivial and
unimportant are just small affects of a larger problem.
