What I hate about youtube. (Not very controvertial.)

I love Youtube. Youtube is actually what helped me start to get
over depression and low self esteem, watching uplifting videos
from animators. Youtube is great.
Buuuuuuut I hate the comments.
People on Youtube suddenly turn to "experts" on whatever subject
they're debating, most often Religion. Even people arguing for
Christianity don't know what they're doing all the time.
"If you don't believe in God then youll go to hell!!!"
"Nobody likes you, Christian, go die in a ditch!!!!"
It really bugs me that anyone can write something like this, and
that nobody really cares when someone says "kys" as a response
to a respectful disagreement. People on youtube, who are mostly
adults, are less mature and respectful than 100% of people on
the forums. It also really bugs me that people think all
Christians are like this because of comments on youtube, or that
all athiests are like this because of comments. My first
interraction with an athiest was with an extremely immature and
disrespectful person on social media, and I went around life
thinking that all athiests were bad because of it for a long
time.
Just recently, I had a "conversation" that went something like
this'
Comment- "I'm going to stay pure for the one that God wants me
to marry! *heart emoji*" (the video was on chastity)
Hater: your beliefs disgust me.
Me: *ticked off* no offense, but it isn't her problem that
you're offended.
Hater- no offense, but *gorey comment about him wanting me to
die* I said no offense, so it's fine!
(This kind of thing doesn't really bother me, for many reasons.
This guy doesnt know me, and his opinion doesn't really matter.
I actually laugh at comments like this when theyre directed
toward me, because the person can't think of anything better to
say.)
Me- XD do me a favor and get a better counter argument.
Another Christian- yeah! Your counter argument sucks! Leave her
alone!
Hater- I also hope *another grusome thing* happens to you!
*directed at the other Christian*
(Aaaand when it happens to other people it TICKS. ME. OFF.)
Me: I can see why our religious beliefs disgust you. Here we
are, standing up for her because she wants to stay pure, and
here you are wanting us to die horrible deaths. We're just
horrible religious people, aren't we? *read more* (that was
sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell ;) )
Yeeeeeeep. I insulted another person's intelligence, but that's
the worst I've done on youtube.
And that is what I hate about youtube.

and thus I tend to stay around certain fandoms that are known to
be nice
