Whoever ships Moonstalker should understand that normalizing
Pedophilla is disgusting.
If we wanna get technical Tui said "Well, four to seven are
teens, seven to eight are young adults, and everything above
adults." So Darkstalker was only a small handful of years older
and not a proper adult while Moon was probably [about my age] in
her early teens.- Vulacntus
Moonstalker is a ship between an adult and a child; yes, even
mentally, Darkstalker is an adult. He was seven when he was
trapped. -Icarus
Adding on to this, saying Moon will grow up is like saying that
a Pedophill can date a child because the child will grow up.
Another thing Moon is 13-14 if early teens. As Darkstalker is
17-19 if he's a young adult.
In America, depending on the state, 17-19 is considered an adult
age. That makes Darkstalker an adult, so its Pedophilla.
My opinion shortened. MOONSTALKER. IS. PEDOPHILLA. NORMALIZING.
PEDOPHILLA. IS. DISGUSTING.

After that, I specifically said that I never saw their
relationship as much beyond platonic. Because I do understand
that pedophilia is wrong.
The main problem for me is: I have to turn a blind eye to it a
lot in other fandoms that my mind has stopped seeing it as an
issue at this point.
And I notice something: Moonstalker seems to be the only ship
that gets bashed like this. Whirlpool was already an adult when
Coral was planning to marry him off to one of her dragonets.
I've seen people ship Whirlnami and I've barely seen others bat
an eye. Turteril too, yet people don't see the issue there
either.
Do we even know if it's wrong in this world? These are dragons
in a fantasy world that we really don't know that much about.
(As a side note; I don't think they meant it was okay to ship an
adult with a child because the child would grow up. They
probably meant that it would be okay as a ship if the child was
an adult/when the child grows up)[/font]

Moonstalker may be pedophilia NOW, but it WILL NOT be in 5-10
years. What? Are you saying that my grandparents weren't
allowed to get married because my grandma was once 20 at the
same time my grandfather was 15?
Please, please see the big picture before ranting. It's
annoying.

Hydra, that doesn't matter because if youre shipping them in the
books, that means at the current point in time of canon, which
you are, then it's pedophilia and gross. Anyways, darkstalker is
peacemaker now, and is the dragon equivalent of like a
pre-schooler or kindergartener, so Moon can grow up but
darkstalker doesnt exist anymore anyways.
So lets see. Your argument is that Moon will grow up. But, at
the time the books are at, Moon isn't an adult and Darkstalker
doesn't actually exist anymore. So Moon never got to the dragon
age of adulthood while Darkstalker existed.

yes, fanfics exist, but that doesnt stop that the base of the
ship is gross. and to hydra, where else do you ship them? did
you want the ship to happen in the book? then you shipped them
in the timeline of the books. i dont know why it doesn't bother
you at all, but i guess i cant change your mind and make you see
how disturbing it is :/

I think it would be cool to have it happen in the books, but I
know it never will. I ask you again, please stop putting words
into my mouth. I get that I'll never make you understand that
it isn't disgusting. I never said they should "hook up"
immediately, I never think that for any of my ships. You just
don't get it.

I was 12 when I had a crush on a 16 year old. It's been 2 years
since he moved, and I'm 14 now, but I still love him. If he
moved back he'd be 18. Crushes that are a few years apart
happen, especially when maturity is put in. I was pretty mature
when I was 12, but my crush wasn't at all, he was still young
mentally, so we were really only 2ish years apart. I'd still
approve. Considering that Moon and Darkstalker are not that
apart from me and my crush, I don't mind. I don't even ship it.
