-FA- Morn and Eve~ Malplenan ~ also some good songs here ~
By: Malplenan Date: July 31, 2017, 9:25 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
[Look at Malplenan's attempt on a new writing style]
I am sitting in the morning at the diner on the corner
I am waiting at the counter for the man to pour the coffee.
And he fills it only halfway and before I even argue,
He is looking out the window at somebody coming in.
"It is always nice to see you,"
says the man behind the counter
To the woman who has come in,
       She is shaking her umbrella.
And I look the other way as they are kissing their hellos
I'm pretending not to see them
       Instead, I pour the milk.
       I open up the paper
There's a story of an actor
Who has died while he was drinking
It was no one I had heard of.
And I'm turning to the horoscope and looking for the funnies
When I'm feeling someone watching me and so I raise my head.
There's a woman on the outside looking inside,
       Does she see me?
No, she does not really see me 'cause she sees her own
       reflection.
And I'm trying not to notice that she's hitching up her skirt
And while she's straightening her stockings,
       Her hair has gotten wet.
Oh, this rain it will continue through the morning as I'm
       listening
To the bells of the cathedral
       I'm thinking of your voice...
And of the midnight picnic once upon a time
       Before the rain began.
I finish up my coffee and it's time to catch the train
Da da da da da da da da...
       -Tom's Diner, Suzanne Vega
       -*-*-
Morn pushes her chair backward, and stands up, picking up her
backpack as she does. She opens the wooden door and steps
outside the cafe into the busy, foggy morning. She looks up from
the asphalt road, and she quietly walks away from the cafe.
A coin is left on the table she has drank her coffee.
       -*-*-
She looks around her in the train. It was nicely quiet, with
       only a few aboard.
       Next stop: Forumville.
       -*-*-
She steps out of the train into the foreign landscape. It was
mostly bare now. She has left for only two months. Immediately
Morn runs. She races past the barren ground and finally, she
reaches her old house. She pushes open the door with enough
force to create a rather large dust storm. Inside sits her
       sister Eve, safe.
She runs over and hugs her, and Eve wakes up.

-FA- Morn and Eve - Part II
By: Malplenan Date: August 1, 2017, 9:25 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I would like to leave this city
This old town don't smell too pretty and
I can feel the warning signs
       Running around my mind.
And when I leave this island
I'll book myself into a soul asylum
I can feel the warning signs
       Running around my mind
So here I go, still scratching around in the same hole.
My body feels young but my mind is very old...
       So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway.
       You're half the world away...
       You're half the world away.
And when I leave this planet
You know I'd stay but I just can't stand it and
I can feel the warning signs
       Running around my mind.
And if I could leave this spirit
I'd find me a hole and I'll live in it and
I can feel the warning signs
       Running around my mind.
So here I go, still scratching around in the same old hole.
My body feels young but my mind is very old...
       So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway.
       You're half the world away...
       You're half the world away
       You're half the world away...
I've been lost I've been found but I don't feel down...
       You're half the world away...
       I've been lost
       I've been found
       but
       I don't feel down...
       -Half the World Away, Aurora
       -*-*-
Eve stares outside her window, watching the world change around.
The truth was, she was not staring out her window, or sitting on
her chair, or standing up and going out the door, thinking about
her sister. She was asleep, her head on the table, and she
didn't want to wake up just yet. Her soul wanders out, hand by
the doorframe. It was the apocalypse, she was sure of it.
How long has she been doing this?
       -*-*-
She thought of her sister again, and what it would feel like to
be away from the forums. She has heard of the world before.
       You're half the world away...
       -*-*-
She jumps from rock to rock, and lands and sits on one.
Then her world came crashing down, a broken glass as she woke up
and looked at her sister, startled.
It took her a moment, and then she hugged Morn in a tight
       embrace.

-FA- Morn and Eve - Part III
By: Malplenan Date: August 1, 2017, 9:27 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Day and Night.
Each chases the other, but cannot exist without the other.
       One with too much light,
       The other too little.
       In between stands the Twilight.
       Long broken.
       And it's beautiful,
But there's that tug in the sight
       I must stop time traveling,
       You're always on my mind...

I am a poor, wayfaring stranger
While journeying through this world of woe
And there's no sickness, toil, nor danger
In that bright world to which I go.
