Response and Responsibilities [Haurchefant and Cora] (Day of Hal
       oneth's Flight)

"Dammit Astralath why didn’t you wake me?!" Cora growled as she
scurried towards Haurchefant’s office. She walked as fast as
she could without breaking into a sprint, it would probably be a
bad look for the new Weyrleader to be seen running in a panic
       across the grounds.
"I tried to wake you, but you did not stir." He responded
primly as he trotted along beside her. "Besides, I had some
very important business to attend to."
"Oh I’m sure you did." She glowered at him briefly, almost
tripping on a loose stone as a result. "Not to mention your,
'important business', is probably why I had such weird dreams.
And why I sweated right through my clothing, yuck." She plucked
at her shirt trying to let some cooler air circulate against her
       skin.
Astralath made a pleased noise. "Well I had a fantastic
       morning."
"Oh Astralath gross!" Cora wrinkled her nose. "I really don’t
       need to know those details."
He snorted playfully. "It’s just natural instinct, I believe
       humans have it too."
"Yes but we tend not to discuss it with friends."
"Oh friends? Is that all I am to you?" His tone turned mock
injured. "And here I thought we were Bonded and thus closer
       than any friend could be."
Cora sighed and chuckled softly at Astralath’s jovial nature.
"You big doofus." She half chided, then softer, "I am quite
glad you are mine though. Don’t forget it."
They had almost approached Haurchefant’s office and Cora slowed
down, stopping in front of the wooden door. She reached up to
       knock but stopped, slightly nervous.
"Ahh, don’t worry Cora. You’ll be fine!" Astralath encouraged.
"Besides! If you are Weyrleader than you will be working with
Haurchefant! And he’s the rider of my Radiant Dawn! Which mean
YOU will get to know him better, which means that both of you
will become closer, which means that you will spend time
together, which means I will have excuses to be near Haloneth!"
Astralath sat down, looking very pleased with his revelation.
Cora stood mouth agape in shock and confusion, hand raised to
knock on the door, staring at her dragon. "Astralath, what in
the blazes are you on about?" She said aloud, before remembering
to speak to him directly. "Astralath! Like I just said! What are
you on about?! That is not how this will work!" She admonished
him with a wagging finger. "I’ll have you know that this is to
       be a strictly professional relationship!"
Cora raised her hand and knocked smartly on the door. She
huffed to herself in annoyance and closed her eyes a moment
before reopening them. "Anyways, don’t you have a Haloneth to
       go dote over?"
"Ah! My Radiant Dawn!" Astralath said in a dreamy tone, his head
rose up and pointed towards where Haloneth was likely resting.
"I must away to my most beloved Haloneth."
He turned and made to leave but paused and peered back over his
shoulder at her and fixed her with an intense stare. "Your
shirt’s on backwards and your boots don’t match. Bye now!" He
launched himself into the air and soared away.
Cora’s head snapped down as she looked at herself. She was
indeed wearing mismatched shoes and her shirt was on backwards.
Swearing under her breath she quickly fixed her shirt just as
she heard the latch on the door click.
