[li]Always treat all members of the community with respect.
Harassment of any sort will not be tolerated, under any
circumstances. A single warning will be issued, followed by a
ban if the problematic behavior persists.[/li]
[li]Please do not use fan-art or artwork that does not belong to
you, unless you receive direct permission from the owner of the
art. Theft of characters or art is completely unacceptable. If
you wish to use a piece of art from this site, you must get
permission from staff members and the creator of the piece.[/li]
[li]Please join the Discord

upon registration or shortly before
or after registration. Non-members are welcome to join the
Discord as well, and we will answer any questions you have. If
you do not join the Discord within two weeks of registering on
the site, your site account will be deleted.[/li]
[li]Use a single forum account for every character, not one
account for each character.[/li]

[center]Posting[/center]

[li]Posts should consist of 50 words or more, using third-person
past-tense.[/li]
[li]If you wish to Impress, please have 10 posts or more before
the clutch. This is a single-time only; once you have your first
10 posts, you will be eligible for hatchings, so long as other
rules are followed. The only difference is for gold
dragons/whers. If you hope to Impress gold, we ask that you have
100 posts or more; this is for our certainty that you will be an
active player.[/li]
[li]Godmoding is not permitted. Do not attempt to decide what
another player or another player's character should do. Keep IC
and OOC knowledge separate as well.[/li]
[li]If your post contains any content that may trigger another
member, please use trigger warnings (abbreviated as TW) at the
beginning of your post. List the potential triggering content,
and make the warning both bold and red. (Example: TW: place
trigger warning(s) here)[/li]
[li]Absolutely nothing implying or even mentioning sexual
assault or incest is allowed, under any circumstances. This
applies to character histories, post content, as well as
everything else relevant.[/li]
[li]Relationships between characters are wonderful to see, and
are most certainly encouraged! But keep in mind that there is
one limitation. To determine who your character might be with,
take your character's age and halve it, then add 8 to it.
(Example: 26/2+8=21). A character cannot romance another
character that is an age less than this solution you have
found.[/li]
[li]No character can marry under the age of 18, even in
character histories. Crushes and such are fine; marriages and
sexual relations are not. In addition, no betrothals can be made
below the age of 16. Betrothals might occur in character
histories for political or familial reasons, but no marriage
shall take place until the character in question is 18 or
older.[/li]
[li]To have children, both parent characters must be 21 or
older. Please do not have multiple characters pregnant at one
time; wait for the first one to give birth before initiating a
second pregnancy. To begin an IC pregnancy, an IC thread or
one-shot must be created.[/li]
[li]In this setting, there are no assassins, trained killers, or
the like - unless staff permission is obtained. A character can
be trained in combat, but those trained exclusively for killing
or those of that ilk are not permitted.[/li]

[center]Character Creation[/center]

[li]All character applications will be reviewed by two staff
members before being accepted into play. Tag applications with
WIP while you're still working on your character, and RFE when
you're ready for staff to review your bio. Use the tag LFI and
add a separate post to your application with questions if you're
looking for assistance and staff will come answer them![/li]
[li]A member may submit up to four (4) character applications
per month. We request that you do not put four applications on
the board at one time; two (2) is fine.[/li]
[li]With the exception of a post prize used, a member may only
make one bronze dragon or bronze/white wher per month; bronzes
and whites are a rare color of beast to appear on Pern, whites
moreso.[/li]
[li]A dragonless/wherless character may re-Impress only once in
their entire lifetime. A member may have only one dragonless
re-Impress per OOC year. A wher (not the handler!) may rebond to
another character twice a year.[/li]
[li]Characters may have up to three (3) firelizards at one time,
unless a prize is used to acquire a fourth. Candidates may only
start with one (1) firelizard, and may only acquire more after
they have Impressed and graduated; they must focus solely on the
care of their dragon/wher.[/li]
[li]IC Searches are not necessary for Candidates to be put into
play. A Search thread is most certainly an option for those who
wish for one, provided you find a thread partner![/li]
[li]To be eligible for a position of leadership, other than
those granted through flights, a character must be at least 21
Turns old and their bonded at least 5 Turns old for leadership
positions, and 3 Turns old for secondary positions.[/li]
[li]If you wish to make a character tie to another character,
always ask the player for permission first![/li]

[center]Activity[/center]

[li]Activity checks will be posted on the last day of every
month, and members have a week to complete the check. Those who
do not will be considered ineligible for Impression. Those that
miss three activity checks consecutively will be considered
inactive, and all characters will be moved to the archives.
After three months, the account will be deleted and the hatched
dragons/whers will be adopted out.[/li]
[li]The above does not apply to those who are on hiatus, after
leaving a LOA notice in the Discord server. So long as you stay
in contact and keep staff updated, you will be able to keep your
hatched dragons/whers, but any IC positions you possess will be
lost. If a period of three months pass without contact, the
period of being considered inactive starts, with account
deletion and loss of dragons/whers after an additional three
months.[/li]

[center]Flights/Runs[/center]

[li]Intimacy influenced by flight-lust is optional. No character
is lost to their dragon's instincts/feelings. Should you elect
to engage in sexual relations as a result of a flight, make it
fade-to-black. Keep it PG-13, people![/li]
[li]Not all flights occur on-screen, as a general note. Yet in
any flight/run, the player of the rising/running dragon/wher
always has the right to choose the winning dragon/wher. No
force-catching or any similar behavior is allowed, under any
circumstances, and will result in a warning and later a ban, if
the behavior continues.[/li]
[li]Flights/runs should be completed, with a winner decided, in
about five days, or three rounds of interaction from the female
dragon/wher. Please don't make things long-winded.[/li]
[li]Not every flight/run will result in a clutch. Staff will
plan a clutch and reach out to a member to schedule a flight/run
that will result in eggs, with specific days that the female
will interact to continue to flight/run. The flight/run will be
run entirely by the player, while the subsequent hatching will
be run by staff, while it is open for all to participate in the
thread.[/li]

[center]Staff reserves the right to amend old rules or add new
ones, as needed. Changes will be announced in the Discord
server.[/center]
