APPEARANCE:
Cora is a fit young woman on the taller side of average. She
has her hair cut very short, but used to wear it long in her
youth. However when her dragon, Astralath, was a hatchling he
would tug and chew on her hair, and tired of washing dragon
slobber out of her hair every night, she cut it short. She
wears comfortable clothes, normally slightly loose fitting, and
long enough sleeves and pants to protect her from sunburn when
possible. She has a friendly face and a warm smile that she
doles out casually to passerbys.
[center]PERSONALITY[/center]
PERSONALITY:
Outwardly Cora acts carefree and irresponsible, she is often
found relaxing and napping, or riding her dragon while trying to
shirk responsibilities. She comes across as airheaded and
forgetful sometimes as she will even forget necessary tasks like
eating meals and has been known to skip them when she gets lost
daydreaming for hours on end. She has a deep love of adventure
and hopes that life in Westwind will provide the grandest
adventure of them all.
However, her carefree attitude is a facade against her ever
present fears and worries. She constantly worries about those
she cares about, and this fretting is what is often on her mind
when she forgets her responsibilities or her meals. She is also
known for having a reckless streak that she uses to bludgeon
problems and worries into submission. Her dragon, Astralath,
helps her stay grounded in this regard. His calm demeanor and
positive attitude remind her that worrying to excess is just as
bad as ignoring everything around her. With his help she tries
to maintain a level head in daily life.

HISTORY:
Cora was found wandering alone outside Bendan Weyr. The
residents were never able to find her family, and so they took
her in and raised her. Given her young age when she was found,
they did not know exactly how old she was, but presumed she was
between 3 to 5 years old. They erred on the side of "younger",
since she didn't talk much, and decided to act as if her
birthday was in the winter.
Cora was a bright and cheery child, and as soon as she was
eligible she applied to be a candidate. She Impressed blue
Astralath the winter of 2609 when the chubby blue hatchling
waddled up to her, headbutted her gently, and loudly demanded
affection. She and Astralath have been inseparable ever since.
When Haloneth hatched and Impressed, Cora was present to watch,
and Astralath saw the golden dragonet through his human's eyes.
He immediately declared her The most sublime creature I've ever
seen!, and when they heard that Haloneth and her rider were
fleeing, he told Cora who agreed that this was the chance of a
lifetime, and they left. The thrill of a new adventure was
enticing to Cora, and while she'd never directly talked much to
Haurchefant, she'd never heard anything bad about him and
thought he seemed like a kind person.

[center]APPEARANCE[/center]
LENGTH: 36ft
HEIGHT: 8.5ft
WINGSPAN: 65ft
COLOR: Blue

APPEARANCE: Slightly larger than the average blue, but with a
lean, agile build. He is very fast and nimble despite his size.
He is lithe but muscular, with most of his height in his legs,
and most of his length in his neck and tail, resulting in a
smaller compact body. He is a dark almost midnight blue with a
starry patterning across his body.
[center]PERSONALITY[/center]
PERSONALITY:
Astralath is a kind, friendly dragon who is very clever with a
streak of mischief as wide as his wings. He cares deeply for
Cora and acts like a pseudo-parent/older sibling at times,
trying to remind her to be responsible for her duties, and
waking her up in the morning. A casual and laid back dragon, he
doesn't let things worry him, not even Cora's nonsense. He does
his best to keep her grounded, reminding her to focus when she's
daydreaming, and calming her down when she's getting wrapped up
in worries.
When he was a hatchling, he loved to bite and chew on Cora's
long hair. She grew frustrated with washing dragon slobber out
of her hair every night and cut it off as a result. Despite
this, he still finds ways to tease her.
When Haloneth hatched, Cora was present to watch, and Astralath
watched through her mind. Upon seeing the young queen, the
dragonet proclaimed She is the most sublime creature I have
ever seen! and immediately decided that he would follow her to
the ends of the world if need be. After becoming smitten with
Haloneth, he encouraged Cora to keep a close eye on what was
happening with Haurchefant and Haloneth, and upon discovering
their intent to leave encouraged/begged (he'll deny the begging)
for her to go with Haurchefant's group.
NOTE: After wining Haloneth's favor and being chosen as her
partner for her flight, he has become, a complete dork when it
comes to her and the eggs. He adores being a dragon-dad and
spends all his waking moments thinking about Haloneth and trying
to ensure her and the eggs are well taken care of.
VOICE: A rich, midtone, masculine voice. His tone rises
slightly when he is excited, and tend to get extra "whispy" or
dreamy sounding when he's talking about Haloneth.
