APPEARANCE:
Shaela is your average them next door, standing at 5'4" and
their figure is compact and well built. Their shoulders are a
bit broader than would seem to match up to the rest of them and
their bustline is annoying large and always in the way. Their
solution to this is to bind the breasts down, not wanting to
project such... assets to the world. They have blackish brown
hair and smoky eyes. Their nose is shapely and almost soft and
sits above a pair of full lips that adorn a heart shaped face.
Their clothing choices are often practical, though they do have
splashes of color in it where they can afford it. They also
wears a violet ribbon around their neck, a small tribute to the
very vibrant wher they are bonded to.
[center]PERSONALITY[/center]
PERSONALITY:
Shaela is an absolute sweetheart when it comes to their energy,
interactions with people and over all nature. They are always
the one trying to comfort and support those around them and
offer them a tale when they need inspiration or encouragement. A
natural born storyteller, they do not have issues with lighting
up a room by regaling its occupants with a story, often using
different voices for the characters or singing a folksong or
ballad that might stir a particular emotion.
They are not so self centered that they can guess if others
enjoy their displays, but they are smart enough that they can
read a room and cease if they think it is actually causing a
negative reaction. They just want to be a friend to the world
and it can lead them to trying to hard and causing the opposite
to happen and stress them out greatly. As a storyteller at
heart, they also have a tendency to ramble, talk fast when they
gets excited and sometimes even causes them to get breathless
and woozy because they just HAVE to get that thought out.
While they project a strong, cheerful and eternal optimist
outside, on the inside, They are their own worst critic and
often will curl up in private fits of self loathing. They are
also very self conscious about their body shape and certain
prominent female features of it and as such, they will never
remove their clothing in the presence of others if they can help
it. Their fear of intimacy physically also has deterred them
from the idea of the act itself and they keep people at a
physical distance if they think someone is getting too close.
They also has a compulsive need to have everything in a certain
place, a certain order or they will descend into anxiety fits
and hyper focus on correcting the issue before they can even
process things around them. They also have a bad reaction if
they consume meat products and as such, they have to be very
careful what they eat or else suffer stomach pains that cause
them to violently expel said food.

HISTORY:
Shaela was born to simple enough weyrfolk parents, one a baker
and the other a scribe and the eldest of their children. From
the moment they could walk and talk, Shaela wanted to be a
friend to everyone, including plants, animals.. their cutlery
even. Their sweet and outgoing nature landed itself well to
their desires and they found making friendships easy enough.
Their desire to recite old stories and wanting to write their
own led their father to encourage them to become a Harper.
Feeling their father was onto something, the young one decided
to do just that. They entered their training as a Harper.
Through out the few years they attended, they focused themself
towards the composition part of their lessons, learning to pen
their own adventure stories and delighted in sharing them with
anyone who would listen. Their ability to lend voices to their
characters to bring a tale more dynamically to life led to what
they felt was drawing an audience in more. Singing old ballads
they learned as well was another favorite past time and one she
often engaged in while studying or just musing alone.
But even as they embraced their Harper craft.. they felt like
something was missing. There was this intense desire to get out,
to explore new lands, brave adventures just like the heros in
their stories. But they never imagined themselves able to ever
be a dragon rider.. the idea of soaring such heights made their
stomach drop out. It was then they began to consider the other
path.. a wherhandler.
Weighing their choice of paths on their mind as they became of
age to become a candidate, they took the time to speak to their
father of it, when the family visited. Their father encouraged
them to follow what their heart told them and no matter their
path, their family always supported then. It was also during
this time that they had questioned the gender they had been
biologically born to and their not feeling this was all they
wanted to be. Voicing this to their father once again, he
encouraged them to embrace whatever gender title felt the most
natural. This reaction actually surprised Shaela but no futher
encouragement was needed, thus the being born as she became
them. With this settled and feeling their heart was guiding them
to the right path, they approached the candidate master and
stated their desire to join candidacy. At the second hatching
they attended, the wher dam looked at them thoughtfully.. then
rolled an egg to them, the largest of the bunch.
This hatched into a wher that had a color that no one could
pinpoint. It seemed a strange mutation but no one thought much
of it, figuring she would never lay eggs due to whatever caused
this. But Shaela believed their wher was the best thing that
ever happened to them, so much so that their companion became
the single star in their world. Graduating, they joined a squad
in Igen.. but Shaela wanted more.. they wanted to venture into
unknown lands, explore new landscapes and sing of their
adventures. When they accompanied a group to the newly formed
Westwind weyr to deliver supplies, they felt a tug of something
within their soul.. a sense of newfound adventure.
It took a few months but they were able to transfer into the new
Weyr and their time as a squad second in Igen led to her being
put in charge of their own squad, and they have been there ever
since. However.. they noticed their wher acting odd.. and was
she.. glowing??

APPEARANCE:
As much an anomaly in size as she is in colors, Elask is a very
large wher, nearing the length and size of a large brown or
small gold. Her body is compact and muscular and when she runs,
she can go for long spurts do to long and muscular legs. She is
a myriad of colors that dance between blues and almost purple
hues and her hide almost looks like some alien landscape from
another world. Starry and vibrant, this wher is hard to miss.

PERSONALITY:
Much like the high energy of her storytelling handler, Elask
likes to go go GO! She often has issues when having to stay put
for long spurts of time and will almost literally bounce to
displace the energy while inside her living space. She speaks to
others almost like a creature that has seen years of war and
always has a story to tell, even if the subject is something
mundane. Her synergy with her handler is almost creepy in how
well they mesh in terms of thoughts, ideas and energy
expression.
However, that is where the similarities end. Despite high energy
levels, she is also logical and realistic and often has to reel
Shaela back when they are going too far into the deep end of a
bad idea or redirect their thinking to be more level headed,
almost like a mother would a child. She also has a tendency
towards sarcasm and is rather blunt with her thoughts, not
mincing words.
VOICE: Elask's voice is deeper but feminine and often has a lilt
of sarcasm and amusement in its tone.
