       Watch-whers, commonly called whers, are considered a slow-minded
       and inferior distant relative to dragons. Whers are strictly
       nocturnal, and thought to be outright violent by nature. The
       misconceptions are present everywhere one turns. Whers are
       capable of violence, yes, but it is dependent on the individual
       and the situation. In truth, whers display deep intelligence;
       more so than some humans. Whers are bonded through blood, either
       by cutting one's hand and placing it upon the wher's head or by
       allowing the wher to taste the prospective wherhandler's blood.
       Unlike dragons, whers are capable of breaking a bond with a
       handler, for any reason the wher chooses. Whers have no
       preference for a specific gender of bonded, and all colors have
       bonded successfully to people of all genders over hundreds of
       Turns.
       A character can bond up to two whers at one time. A character
       may enter play with one wher. A second wher must be acquired
       in-play.[/center]
