APPEARANCE:
Ignis stands at an imposing six feet even, his frame filled out
with muscle as a result of a rigorous routine of exercise and
carefully planned meals to suit such a stature where he can. His
ash brown hair is often kept short, though at times, his bangs
become unruly and fall in front of his bright green eyes. He is
long of leg and his frame is evenly distributed with muscle. He
has a slight bit of facial hair that he keeps well groomed as
possible along with most of his appearance. He often wears a
neutral expression of quiet thought.
[center]PERSONALITY[/center]
PERSONALITY:
Ignis is calm and composed man of his years, often quite serious
when it comes to goals, tasks and pursuits of the mind. He often
has a neutral expression of seeming eternal calm and patience
with others that speaks of one who is ever the big brother in a
group. He enjoys hobbies of the mind and has a secret passion
for cooking, though life as a Rider does not always leave him
time for those studies as much as he would like. Seeing the
softer side of his personality is exclusively something that is
reserved to his inner circle and even more so for his weyrmate,
Noctis.
Though he is highly intelligent, he often struggles in
ascertaining the intentions of other people, and most jokes sail
right over his head. He is ever the perfectionist and gets very
irritated and his composure dips long enough as the disdain is
on full display. Despite this, he is well known to make a pun or
sarcastic comment for the sake of humor when the moment and mood
strikes him. He also tends to be a bit of a braggart and won't
hesitate to gloat, especially when proving another wrong.
He also has an addiction to klah and can not function without it
in his system every morning.

HISTORY:

Ignis was the first born son to a pair of Minor Holders of Lucis
Hold. His life was fairly typical of a young lad of minor noble
status and at the age of 6, he was introduced to the son of the
Lord Holder of Lucis, a boy named Noctis. His task was to serve
as the lad's second and to shadow him wherever he was, almost
like a bodyguard or advisor. When the pair were ten years old,
they met another pair of children named Prompto and Gladiolus
and soon the foursome were inseparable.
As they grew into early teenage years, around the age of 14,
they met a young lady named Lunafreya, who was aspiring to
become a dragon candidate and shared with them all she knew
about searches and such, given her elder brother was a search
rider. Intrigued by the idea, Ignis eventually convinced the
group of boys that it would be amazing if they all became riders
too. So once they were 15, they all applied to candidacy and
Noctis, though reluctant, went along with it, though his reasons
were likely his own and Ignis never pried.
It was only a year later that Ignis impressed, to a large and
very calm bronze named Luciiath. He was pleased to see his
friends impressed at the same clutch and they would all be
weyrlings together. But rifts formed due to the hierarchy of
Benden, and Ignis found he detested that Noctis was looked down
on because he rode a blue and he himself, a bronze. He knew that
if current leadership and such stayed in power that he would be
sequestered eventually and expected to try for the honor of
Weyrleader; to chase the golden queen. He absolutely disliked
the idea, believing that there was no real reason for the
colorism and status that was the accepted social standing, and
his bronze felt of a similar mind and intentionally passed up
chasing the resident Queen, despite everything telling him he
should. His rider did not want to be Weyrleader and Luciiath
didn't much care for the arrogance of the current Queen anyway.
But that was not what caused Ignis to start to act in defiance
of the current societal structure. He began to realize his
feelings for his friend Noctis were verging more than just
friends. One such evening, a few years after graduation, he
finally decided to share his feelings to Noctis and as luck
would have it.. his friend felt the same and they shared an
intimate moment. Coming out quietly to just their friends at
first, he was pleased to see how supportive they all were, even
Lunafreya, whom Ignis was sure had harbored a crush on Noctis
for a while.
Unfortunately for them, they were caught in a liplock by one of
his wingmates and soon it got around about them. His father was
disgusted and forbade him to be alone with Noctis and demanded
he give up this foolish and unnatural attachment to the other
man. Ignis refused and stubbornly held onto his love and Noctis
seemed as steadfast in resisting any prompting and bullying they
received. But Ignis wanted to find a way to get them out of
Benden.. something, anything where they could go and be happy.
As fate would have it, it provided a way when Gold Haloneth
hatched and bonded to a man. It caused a huge uproar and soon he
got wind that a small group was planning to spirit away the new
gold weyrling and her rider and this was the chance he knew he
was praying for. It did not take much to convince his friends to
come with the pair and even Lunafreya joined them, disgusted at
the entire situation and supportive of the relationship between
himself and Noctis.
So it was that the group fled to Westwind Weyr. Once the dust
settled and the council started forming, the newly minted
"weyrwoman" decided to appoint Ignis as Flightleader, respecting
his keen mind for strategy and perhaps a bit of influence from
his friends ( though he has no way of knowing that for sure).
Recently, he and Noctis have officially become weyrmates and are
content and happy, being able to be open with their love and
affection and accepted.

APPEARANCE:
Luciiath is a very large and muscular bronze. While not built
for speed, he carries the endurance to make up for it. His body
is a pale bronze, almost like cream in a cup of klah and his
body is dusted with little darker bronze freckles that pepper
his entire form. His wing sails also are colored with the same
darker bronze and the tips of his tail are about the only area
not brushed with freckles, almost making them look dipped in the
creamy bronze of his base color.

PERSONALITY:
Luciiath is a gentle giant and calm, kind and very thoughtful
dragon. He often weighs his words before he speaks and does not
engage in idle banter, finding it a waste of his breath and
time. He will converse with his fellows only when engaged first
and for the sake of his rider. Otherwise, he is content to
remain quiet and observant. A dragon that tends to focus on
small details as well, he can often overwhelm Ignis with
information and get gently rebuked as a result. He has no
preferences on what colors he will chase, nor the gender of the
dragon, he likes what he likes. However, that said, he despises
the idea that he as a bronze should only chase gold and outright
refuses to do so, unless Ignis asked him to.
VOICE: Luciiath has a deep and authoritative voice with an
almost gentle undertone to it.
