Haurchefant had taken note how the sunrises and sunsets lately
seemed.. brighter than he remembered. Perhaps it was just him
still adjusting to Westwind's different climate, even a few
years after being here.. or was he right to worry. It had
occurred to him as he watched his dragon's children grow and
their bonded with them at lessons.. that maybe.. just maybe..
they may need to step up more live drills. He decided as soon as
the dragonets were big enough to carry their riders, he would be
adding that to the drills.
Haloneth, sensing his distress and worry, reached over and nosed
his back. " Do not worry yourself into distress over things that
can easily be adjusted for. You are only one person, mine. I do
not wish to see you suffering so. You have a trusted council of
advisors, bring your concern to them. Trust in the chain of
which whose bonds you have forged. Let it be your salvation
against the storm." Haloneth said softly and he turned with a
smile and rested his forehead against her large snout.

"He replied softly then gazed towards the path back towards the
weyrs, wondering if he should break for a small lunch, or take
his golden queen out to fly a bit more.
