A creamy-colored she-cat was perched on the end of a sailboat,
eyes fixed on the duck in front of her.

A white and ginger patched Tom with bright green eyes was
sitting on a boat dock a ways away
Squinting his eyes against the sun beaming in his eyes, he made
out this she-cat's figure.
Who was she? Where do she come from? Where was she going?
Interest after interest spread like a wild fire, trying to get a
better look at her.

The she-cat, named Dolce, Italian for Sweet, coiled her back
legs, and leaped onto the duck. A yowl of pain and a quack of
surprise cracked the air as Dolce slammed into the water bird.

The Tom watched with whide concerned eyes, unsure of how he
could help.
Scott never did learn how to swim and was afraid of drowning.
He leaned over to the water, "Do you need some help?"

"No!" Dolce yowled back, chomping down on the duck's neck. It
became lifeless.

She slipped from the water onto the boat and shook off, dropping
the duck. "Eat." She grunted. Her voice was smooth and had a
strong Italian accent.

"Hello, Whats your name kitty" a solid blue cat walked up and
asked Dolce "Even though i see you on the dock everyday i still
don't know your name" she said to the tom
