Panting, the exhausted she-wolf continued to run with fear
glistening in her golden eyes. Her feet ached from running miles
upon miles on the hard ground covered with a thin blanket of
melting snow. The sight of a den nearby brought a bit of hope to
the lost she-wolf and she soon fled into the small opening. She
sighed with relief to find dry moss in the back of the warm den.
The gray she-wolf collapsed on the old nest, immediately falling
asleep, her flank slightly rising up when breathing in the
heated air.
Yawning, she stood up and shook the pieces of old plants and
such from her ruffled pelt before peeking her head out of the
den. The sun brightly tried to shine itself as much as possible,
peeking through the leaves from the canopy of trees. Good
morning, nowhere...[/font]
