The calico she=kit began to calm down as she watched the pup
tell her she meant no harm. Slowly, the she-kit took a couple
steps closer.

The calico giggled and flicked her tail, a bright smile
appearing on her maw. "Who were those cats?" She asked with
curiosity.

The she-kit hesitated, thinking for a moment. She remembered how
frightening and fierce the two toms looked, but maybe they would
let her join...whatever group they were in. She soon nodded
vigorously with excitement.

Yuri yipped happily, "Climb onto back." She barked, a bit louder
this time, "I keep you safe."

She nodded and trotted over, using her legs to pull herself up
onto the dog. She settled down on her back and flicked her flank
with her tail telling her she was ready.

Yuri smiled slightly, standing up and beginning to trot off. She
stayed in the brush, just in case if other cats saw her, looking
for Scythe and Lancelot. She soon found them, shouting her name.
The young she-dog crept forward, head hung in shame.
"Yuri! There you are!" Lancelot ran over, worried for the kit.
Scythe groaned inwardly, his gaze going to the she-kit on the
dog's back.

Eyes wide, the small calico stayed on Yuri's back. She stared at
the two cats, wondering what they would do to her.

"Kitten lost," Yuri started. "Yuri save Kitten. Kitten friend."
She flattened her ears, blinking slowly.
Lancelet turned to the kit, cooing softly, "Hello, little one."
Scythe walked over as well, petting Yuri's head with a massive
paw, "Good girl."
