Hiddenpaw flicked her tail on his ear. "Want me to show you the
herbs? Unless you want to keep smelling them instead..." She
purred with amusement, a bright smile on her black face.

Hiddenpaw pointed to a pile of roots with her tail. "This here
is Comfrey Root. When chewed up, it can be used for broken bones
or soothing wounds. Also for itching and stiff joints, which is
why we need a lot of them for the elders." She explained. "And
of course, Poppy Seeds we have plenty of. We use it to help cats
sleep, or for cats struggling with shock, stress, or pain."

Hiddenpaw smiled at him before continuing. "Oh, Coltsfoot here
eases breathing or kitten-cough, as well as cracked or sore
pads. I running out though. The sad thing is that it grows best
in...RiverClan territory." She explained with a nervous smile.
"Anyways, here is Yarrow. It's usually used to make cats vomit
if they ate something poisonous, like Deathberries. I'm sure
some of the queens have warned you about those?"

I didn't even mention his mother. This must be really hard for
him....Nice job bringing it up. Hiddenpaw let her eyes show the
feeling of pity and sadness, and a bit of anger at the careless
queens. "Come on, why don't I show you then?" The black she-cat
meowed, giving the small tom a comforting lick on his ear.

Hellokit nodded, his black face brightening a bit as her warm
tongue lapped his ear. "Okay, thanks." He mewed politely. His
blue eyes began to glow again, but there was still a pitifully
sad look in them.

Hiddenpaw left the den with Hellokit beside herself, letting her
feathery black tail rest on his back comfortingly. She padded
over to the bush right outside of camp, the ripe, bright red
berries hanging from the little branches. "These are
Deathberries. They could kill you in only a few moments if
you're not careful, so don't eat them. In fact, don't eat any
kind of plant unless you know it's not poisonous or someone said
it was okay to eat."
