Hazelstar kept walking, he wouldn't answer. There all so stupid,
he told himself, they just let me walk away unharmed when I
killed there leader. An evil smirk was painted on his face.
Hazelstar padded over to the boarder but stopped and turned, his
fur ruffled. "Whoever is there show yourself."
Shadowbird's fur ruffled and he stayed still for a couple
heartbeats before emerging from behind a bush. Hazelstar growled
at the warrior and stepped forward, claws unsheathed. "Are you
trying to join Flamestar?"
Shadowbird hissed and unsheathed his claws. "No," he replied
strongly, "I want revenge." He launched himself at Hazelstar and
squealed as Hazelstar swatted him away with a huge paw, the
breathe was knocked out of him as he hit the ground. Hazelstar
instantly pinned him down and snarled in his face. Shadowbird
kicked Hazelstar's belly with his hind legs but he couldn't kick
the tom off.
(Whatever you do don't help him.)

Waterstar watched as hazelstar padded away, she hissed softly.
Waterstar looked at the other cats. "now, we have to get ready
for the war. Sice this has happened the war should not be long
away" Waterstar meowed in a lowed voice.

Hazelstar moved his paw and placed it on the young warriors
throat, his eyes glinted in the light. "I'm sorry it had to end
this way," he hissed in Shadowbird's face, "I really think you
could be a good opponent." There was a hint of amusement in the
leaders voice, "wait why would I be sorry?"
Shadowbird kicked the leaders belly harder and smiled as he felt
a warm liquid drip down his paws. "It's not over yet," he spat.
Hazelstar stood up and jumped off of the tom, "then show me what
you got." Hazelstar was never a kind cat, but he always gave his
victim a chance first. The strong brown tabby with caramel
highlights bolted forward and to the side last second, he
brought up one of his paws and raked his claws down the warriors
flank as he sped by.
Shadowbird's wail echoed down the tree's as he felt the leaders
claws rake his pelt, he turned and reared up on his hind legs,
only to bring his paws down on his target's hind legs. Hazelstar
fell down as he felt Shadowbirds paws smash his hind legs, he
rolled over and kicked the warrior in his belly. Shadowbird fell
backwards and gasped as Hazelstar once again pinned him down
with one paw on his throat. Shadowbird met the leaders gaze and
waited for the leader to rip out his throat, but instead the
leader spoke, "I have a deal that I think you would love," he
began, "work with me, help me and my clan rule the forest!"
Shadowbird blinked, surprise filled his gaze. "Whats in it for
me?"
"We will take over Mountainclan and you can be leader,"
Hazelstar meowed, "but first we need to get you to be deputy."
"What if I don't want to betray my clan?" Shadowbird asked.
Hazelstar flexed his claws so they were touching Shadowbird's
throat, "you die."
Shadowbird nodded and looked at the leader. "Fine I will help
you." As soon as he spoke the leader jumped off of him and
landed at his side. Shadowbird stood up and bowed his head to
show respect before turning and running back to camp.
"Meet me at the border tomorrow," Hazelstar called to him.

Shallowtrout watched as Shadowbird ran away, not knowing what
had just gone on between the two cats.
ooc: How 'bout Shallowtrout becomes deputy, and then Shadowbird
murders him so he can be deputy?

(That would be cool, it's just like what happened to Redtail,
Tigerstar killed him to become deputy.)
Shadowbird winced as the gashes on his flank started to feel
sticky and warm with blood.
Hazelstar limped back over the border and towards his camp.

ooc: Alright, I'll just pretend that Waterstar made him deputy.
Don't kill him yet though. Oh, better yet, they could be
brothers, brother killing brother for power.
Shallowtrout padded up to Shadowbird, eyes shining. "Hey!
Waterstar just made me deputy! Can you believe it?"

(Not really...and we should at least make the ceremony, but that
is a good plot!)
Shadowbird stoppad and looked at his brother, he hoped that his
brother wouldn't ask questions about the gash on his flank.
"Really? Did she tell you or did I miss the ceremony?"

Shadowbird smiled, but in the back of his mind he could almost
hear Hazelstar yowling at him. You have to be deputy! "That's
amazing," he meowed calmly, "I can't believe your going to be
deputy!"
