Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas?

A vote and discussion thread about wether Fallout 3 or Fallout:
New Vegas is your personal favorite. Feel free to talk about the
games freely and give examples of other games if you want, you
can also discuss other people's posts but keep it on arguments
       instead of insults.
For me, it definitly is Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is one of my
favorite games while Fallout: New Vegas sure was nice to play
but rather like 'Play for 100 hours and forget after three
weeks'. Fallout 3 was made with love and the environment was
made by some creative hands and brains but New Vegas mainly
focusses on that wannabe-wild-western style. There is much more
to explore in the map of Fallout 3 while you cannot even walk
two hours straight without hitting the end of the map in New
Vegas. The quests were more original on Fallout 3 and you always
could find some crazy guy giving you a new gripping quest after
wandering the wasteland a little. New Vegas is too faction
based. There sure are some interesting ones but it's all about
reputations and then you cannot enter certain places and such.
The faction war sure was a good idea but might've been applied
rather poorly. I really liked the darker and prettier wasteland
with more details on Fallout 3, never really got used to the
western style in New Vegas. The good thing about New Vegas is
the gun handling, the guns are not too original but the feeling
is better than in Fallout 3. I played every Fallout 3 add-on but
       no New Vegas add-on.
Note that this is merely my personal opinion and you are free to
       discuss and criticize it.

Agreed! I'm some respects, Fallout New Vegas didn't have that
Post-apocalyptic feeling like Fallout 3 did. And yes, some
things that were in Fallout New Vegas, just the little things,
would have been nice in Fallout 3, like the aiming down sight,
and companion control wheel and gun mods. Personally, My
favorite faction in the Fallout Series, is the BoS. I felt like
they were just put into New Vegas because they had too. I didn't
feel like they put their heart into it. Maybe they did this
because in Fallout 3 they had such A big role? Anyhow, I would
have liked to seem them some more in NV and less of the goddamn
NCR and Legion... And hey, Fallout 2 is an awesome game! ;)

I loved FNV for the choices you could make, and the choices
actually having effect in the end, the new(ly designed) Factions
with tons of lore, I beat the game about 6 times (Legion (PC) ->
       Wildcard (PC) -> Wildcard (XBOX 360) -> Legion (XBOX 360) ->
       Legion (XBOX 360) -> House (XBOX 360)
I also liked Fallout 3 mainly for the game play and scenery but
in my eyes weren't nearly as fun lore wise as FNV was, basically
because they went: Oh lol let's give the W-Coast BoS and Super
Mutants, that'd be fun! (No disrespect to Bethesda but seriously
       I hated that).
But yeah, I was hooked after I spoke to Caesar and about his
thoughts on the NCR, which turned out to change my entire view
on modern society. (Yup! that's how impressed I was.)
Anyways if it isn't clear yet, I vote FNV.
On a side note, I played all the DLCs, of both FNV and FO3.
