I've been watching it for a longer while now. I was impressed in
the beginning, even though I started with the first few episodes
of season 2 before watching the first one.
Season 1 was not that ol'-dog like but it is my favorite one. It
was putting more into character developement and came up with
different areas and scenarios with original ways of telling a
story.
Season 2 still was pretty nice, the creators learned alot of
things but all the action was put into the last few episodes.
The middle parts of the episodes often were boring and you just
watched the next one because of the cliff hanger in the end of
every episode.
Season 3 fucked up I think. It is not purely bad but there are
too many survivors now. There is nothing unique about it. The
original idea of the show, the survival in a zombie apocalpyse,
is almost completely forgotten and just puts more attention to
the action. The locations are reduced on two major places while
some scenes seem poorly made without any love. I still enjoy
watching it though.
However I am still on Season 3: Episode 10 because I simply did
not have the time to watch the last episodes and I am afraid
season 3 won't get much better.
After all, I think it is a very well made and interesting show
with a good fanbase. I enjoy watching every episode even though
there usually are some negative aspects.

You pretty much summed up everything I think about too! I agree
season 1 was my favorite. Back then zombies were an actual
threat to the survivors, now it seems like they could kill an
army of zombies with a knife.
I enjoyed season 2, even though there was not as much action, I
didn't mind because I just love the fact of survival, but there
seemed to be a lot of drama and not much survival. And
everything agreed about season 3. I think it would be cool if
they just got back on the road again and were heading somewhere,
and had to deal with new things each episode, which maybe
sometimes continued onto 2 or 3 episodes.
I think you could have summed the whole of season 3 up in
about... 3 episodes. Which is a shame.
I'm sure they will do season 4, its making a ton of money so
they will keep it up. Plus the comics go on for a while.

I watch TWD for half a year now and it's my favourite TV show
(excepting Breaking Bad) so far. I'm always watching the latest
episode on release and I'm quite a fanboy when it comes to the
TV series, games or comics. I gotta agree with Vic, the first
season was the best one so far, maybe because the urban area of
Atlanta was more of a threat than the farmhouse in season 2.
Season 2 and 3 seem kind of static, the group doesn't change
their location very often. It's just sick that the writers have
to kill off the survivors as soon as the show gets boring.
The comics go very well and season 4 for the series was already
announced (new showrunner though).
What I love about the series is that they actually add a few
characters, who weren't used in the comics at all, e.g. Daryl,
Merle, T-Dog, Jacqui, etc..

The last Episode was a total balls up. I mean, I enjoy every
episode of TWD but that wasn't the grand finale I, and many
others were hoping for!
Not Happy :(

I think the season finale was alright. Of course, it was totally
different from what everyone thought, but all in all there's a
lot of potential for season 4.
