       Server and forum rules

       [center]Server and forum rules:
       New Life Rule
When your character dies In-Characterly you can choose wether to
be permamently killed (PK, your character will be banned) or to
apply the New Life Rule (NLR). This option is only available for
characters whose death can easily be replaced with any random
character. For example a trooper in a firefight or a wild gecko.
If your character was an important personality on the server and
in the local area, you cannot choose this option. For example as
a high ranked NCR or if you made your character "The Legend of
       Wastes".
If you choose to NLR, either everything related and leading to
your death is completely forgotten, you make up a realistic
story how you did survive or your character's death is replaced
with an IC character. For example when witnessing a crime and
the wasteland mafia is after you and hunt you down an hour
later, you would forget to have witnessed the crime and the
wasteland mafia at all, but not the nice girl you independently
met two hours ago. When a smaller wildlife animal kills you in
the wasteland, it was not really because of your character but
because of the animal character. When realistic enough, you can
NLR by pretending to have killed it unless it would mean too
much that would have to be voided. When you die in a huge
firefight between the Legion and the NCR and your NCR private
dies, you can easily pretend that it was just some IC character:
the death is still counted but it was not your character. When
you are circled and executed, this cannot always be applied.
       Meta Gaming
Meta Gaming is what is universally known as using OOCly obtained
information for IC purposes. For example someone sends in OOC
that there are guns at the park. Now your character begins to
run into the wastes, searching for the park. Or an admin uses
/observer to check where enemy players are to make up a good
       tactic.
I like to expend this a little and make it more detailled. Meta
Gaming actually is "Letting your own personality influence your
character's." This actually is quite simple because our
personality is nothing more than the memories and genetics we
have, nothing else influences what you would call 'personality'.
(That's why I think backstories are a very important and
essential aspect for roleplay) You do not always have to get an
IC advantage to have a changed personality of your character,
Meta Gaming would already be to make your character imitiate a
movement you've seen in a movie or say a special phrase or joke
your character propably would not know. This, however, sure does
not destroy any roleplay therefore these smaller Meta crimes can
be voided but the bigger ones, when your character gains a real
advantage by using OOC information ICly will result in a fitting
       punishment.
I also don't like to see people who provoke Meta Gaming by using
IC information OOCly and tell people where **** is.
       Sex Roleplay (AKA Cyber)
If you want your character to have sex with another character,
that is no problem on the server. But you can make it a problem
by getting too detailled while innocent bystanders are nearby.
If you find a lone trailer and cyber in it thrice a day, it is
alright. You can get as detailled and dirty as you want unless
you provoke a crowd around that place. If you **** a stripper in
Paradise nobody should complain because when their characters
are there, propably not to complain about cyber. Therefore I
don't want people who happen to get a line of cyber to announce
it in OOC so everyone would go there and interrupt their
       roleplay.
Any of the participators can insist on a One-Line-Cyber. Not
everyone might enjoy SexRP, therefore if any of the people whose
character is involved does not want to get too detailled,
everything can be done in a /me has sex with her/ him. or
       similar.
       Minging
Minging is destroying the atmosphere/ roleplay on purpose or
annoy in a special way. There is a huge gap between newcomers
and minges. Even newcomers can use their common sense and
realize that this kind of gamemode is not about finding out how
to punch**** as many as possible as soon as possible. If they
are willing to learn instead of just want to have their fun way
and don't listen to anyone, I really appreciate them. But if you
do not follow obvious rules and admins' orders, void warnings
and texts about those to just search for the next best gun, this
can easily result in a kick or more.
       Disconnecting to avoid roleplay
If you are in the middle of a roleplay scene that might result
in disadvantages for your character or yourself and you just
disconnect to avoid that result without coming back to face the
consequences (because of IRL problems but you can come back
later for example) it can result in a ban/ PK/ a different
fitting punishment. Sums it up pretty much.
       Copying applications
In a century with tools such as google and an admin team with a
longer roleplay history, it is pretty risky to copy an
application from a different community and use it as your own.
However if you do so anyway, you will be denied for two weeks
instead of just for one and get a massive negative reputation in
the staff. Just don't do it, if you are not capable of thinking
about an own application it will be pretty obvious on the server
and you might be unwhitelisted for abuse/ FailRp anyways.
No racism, pØrnography and general insulting
This applies to both, server and forum. Depending on what
exactly has been done to violate this rule the punishment will
       be decided.
       Common sense!
Use your common sense! These rules might not include every rule
breakable but most of them are pretty obvious. If you are not
really sure about it before doing something that might break a
rule, do not hesitate to ask someone!
