Everyone in the wasteland heard that, the sound of a flying
Vertibird, then, a big explosion, the aircraft is down, it's a
good chance to gather supplies, find new treasures or maybe
capture some slaves...the chest full of richness is there, ready
to be opened by the first who will reach it, and the one who
will be lucky enough to return home alive...

This is my idea for an event we could do, involving all of the
factions in the game of course, in an attempt to save WA once
again :D
We should find a good date to everyone, spawn the vertibird,
some "treasures" and then let the players fight for it.

Good idea, though I expect that the event itself won't be able
to "save WA once again".

It's no RDM if people fight for whatever they find at the
vertibird.
If you really want to save WA there are a few things that have
to change.
Summed up:
We need more conflicts.
-> More faction activity, e.g. more Legion vs. NCR, more Raiders
vs. Wasters.
More Legion.
-> The Legion is the major threat in this roleplay, noone plays
Legion though. I would like the admins to see through the Legion
applications thread and change the format of the application
slightly.
We need more events (just as mentioned by Altairp).
-> More global events, more small events (especially for new
players).
We need more survival roleplay.
-> It's Fallout and we're in Washington. CL cut the NCR supply
lines. CC doesn't have everything in stock. We need to roleplay
for food, water, medicine. No infinite storages of alcohol and
food anymore.
No infinite CC stock of weaponry and ammo.
Character concepts to keep the wasteland alive.
-> 80% of the characters are either mercenaries or soldiers. You
can't roleplay without contracts or conflicts and since the
mercinaries aren't fighting against the bigger factions (NCR,
BoS) in some sort the wasteland seems pretty 'dead'. That's why
we need more scavengers, more doctors, more farmers and
generally more people without combat-based jobs (excepting
bandits or raiders, which leads me to the next point...)
Mind the dangerous wasteland.
-> In the wasteland we have outlaws, legionaires or animals. We
need more of them. We also need people to fear the wasteland and
it's threats. Someone already said that a lot of people tend to
play 'whiteknights'. It's alright if your character is a helpful
person, but keep in mind that you're fighting to survive. Not
everyone is to be trusted and if you're doing proper survival RP
you may find yourself fighting other players for goods.
Focus on Fallout.
-> The last point would be to focus on Fallout lore. No events
anti-lore. No concepts anti-lore. It's survival RP.
And that's about it. I think I said 'survival' about a thousand
times now and it's just like that. We don't need a vertibird to
crash if everyone would RP their struggle for food and water
properly :)

Well said, Birf. That's exactly what should change on WA to fix
the playerbase and make it more fun.

Good point about the legion faction. I lke the legion, but every
time I look at that app, I start to fall asleep. I is clearly
the longest and most boring app. It should be more similar to
the NCR one. Worst comes to worst, just remove the whitelist if
the person fails.
All your other points were good too.
