I'm posting a question I got per email and my answer:
       Question:
Is it true to say that if the number of pure strategy NE is odd
there is no mixed strategy NE, and if the number of pure
       strategy NE
is even there is another mixed strategy NE?
In solving the question 4. in problem set 1, I felt the above
statement is true, but is it generally applied?
       Answer:
       This is not entirely true.
       - If there is NO pure strategy (PS) NE, there MUST be a mixed
       strategy
       (MS) NE .
       - If there are several PSNE, there will usually also be MSNE.
       This is
also the case for 3 PSNE (or any other odd number).
       - I think, if there is only one PSNE, there is no additional
       MSNE. But
maybe there could be exceptions that I'm not aware of ???
       Better always check :)
