OCTOBER 2012 GATHERING [open to all!]

Northernlights padded through the strange, unfamiliar grass
towards Fourtrees for the Gathering. Her icy eyes were wary of
all the other cats. Ears flattened, fur bristling...She looked
like she wasn't looking forward to being here, but really she
didn't mind. She loved eavesdropping on ShadowClan's enemies.

[center]"Northernlights, at least try to look like you're
enjoying yourself. Are any other Clans here yet?" The voice
belonged to Rumenikstar, proud leader of ShadowClan. His amber
gaze was fixed on Northernlights, following the Medicine Cat.
The stars were out, and the moon was bright. Good... StarClan
wasn't angry. He smiled slightl to himself, then finally reached
the clearing in Fourtrees. No other Clan was there yet. Oh well,
time to rest and talk. "Northernlights, have you been thinking
about a choice for an apprentice yet?"
He had already noticed Mintkit taking an interest in
Northernlights' work, and maybe he'd be able to promote her if
that was both her and Northernlights's wishes.[/center]

Northernlights turned to Rumenikstar, shrugging nonchalantly. "I
don't know." she mewed shortly, as an answer to both his
questions. Truthfully, the blue she cat was considering Mintkit,
a kind young kit, to be her apprentice, but she wasn't telling
Rumenikstar that yet. "You know, I'm not a thousand years old. I
don't [I]need[/I] an apprentice just yet." she muttered, looking
down as she spoke.

remember?" Rumenikstar meowed, his voice even as he spoke to his
Medicine Cat. "Where is everyone? Are we just really early, or
something?" He narrowed his eyes, looking around for the other
Clans.[/center]

Northernlights looked away, stubborn as usual. "I guess." she
newed softly. She craned her neck to peer up at the sky through
the treetops above, and it was beautiful. A full moon, and a
clear navy sky full of stars. "Maybe the other clans are just a
little behind." she suggested finally, still watching the sky
like it was a movie.

meowed, squinting his eyes a bit.

Indeed, the RiverClan deputy was coming. Wovenbasket entered the
clearing. "I'm here!" She called, strutting over to the others.
Since RiverClan was still leader-less, she had come. The deputy
of RiverClan was quite conceited, marveling how great she was
and such, but was still loyal as ever.

It was all Northernlights could do to not groan. Peppy attitudes
and vain she cats were two of her biggest pet peeves. The
RiverClan deputy possessed both traits. "Hello,
Wovenbasket...You guys have a leader yet or what?" the grouchy
medicine cat asked, flicking her blue tail. Her theory was that
Wovenbasket wasn't leader yet because no cat in her clan wantes
her to be, but, hey, that was just her opinion.

her stare hard. She was worried that ShadowClan would attack,
and... War would NOT be good. At all.[/center]

laying a tail on the deputy's back. [B]"Stay calm. I trust you
not to break the truce, but your goal shouldn't be to make
enemies of anyone right now. We might have to battle alongside
them at some point,"[/b] he murmured. The tom then noticed
Wovenbasket's worried expression, and he sighed. [B]"I
understand your worries though."[/b]
Rowansky; no, [I]Rowanstar[/I]— took his position on the Great
Rock. He looked around at the others, ears twitching. [B]"I
assume all your Clans are well!"[/b][/center]

Northernlights' gaze followed Rowanstar as he leapt up upon the
Great Rock. "ShadowClan is fine." she mewed shortly, perking her
bluish ears a bit. Finally, RiverClan's leader was here. Now
they just had to wait for ThunderClan and WindClan.
