If we did the forums-version, this makes sense. Though, the
in-game one adds a sense of fun, as in the end, it is a game.

How about this: There is an unban section of the forums. The
banned player fills out a template. The template should be:
Your name, Banned by, Reason, Time banned for, involved, What
happened, Why we should unban or lessen your ban time? You fill
it out. for example: Name: Luke, Banned by: Mod H,
Reason:Disrespecting staff when warned, Time banned for: 42
hours, Involved: Andrew, Mike, and Mod H, What happen: Well Mod
H called Andrew a good for nothing organism. I then told him to
back off, you cannot insult him. He then told me to fall off a
cliff. I told him to shut up, and go to jail. He then warned me
to shut up. I said go fall of a bridge. He then banned me. Why
should we unban or lessen your ban: I believe you should unban
me because I got very mad at him and he was insulting and
disrespecting a player. I think this is unfair because I did
what he did to my friend. He insulted him, so I insulted him. I
will make an admin abuse post later. Please unban me!
Mod H- He was giving me lip, so I called him that!
Andrew-I asked how his day was, then he told me i was a good for
nothing organism!
Gara Noob- Mod H insulted a player. Since he is an Admin you
followed his example by insulting him, but the rules are: Do not
disrespect staff. Two wrongs do not make a right. Player still
failed to follow rules but followed admins as an example. Ban
lessened to 5 hours.
Something like this.

If you break a rule it should not be fun. Breaking a rule is a
serious thing. Breaking the rules can ruin another players
experience.

Luke you're being very unjust here. I'm trying to bring the
perspective of someone from in-game onto the forums...
Not every case will the the exact same, or along with certain
situations posted on the rules.
Also, why not have two topics per punishment? People generally
like to talk about a players punishment, and a second topic next
to the staffs topic discussing the punishment. Why don't you
have any leeway with your idea of an unbanning thread? I've
literally gone completely stray from the courthouse idea just to
please your needs for unbanning to be on the forums. Also, two
topics per punishment keep the unimportant replies from
interfering with the staff replies...

I think one topic for Unban, and for all the people who were not
involved, can go talk over skype, or talk in game.

Players might not like to use skype or give it out, and
sometimes people aren't online at the same times...

Because the player is being punished! I've already said that
they would try and explain to anyone about the player
themselves.

We've completely moved off the path of the original suggestion.
Please discuss the suggestion as it is, forget about the
possible forums section. If we do decide to go with that, we
will discuss the exact parameters when we come to it. For now,
this should be a conversation about the court house, not the
possible forums section.
