       The T29 American tier 7 heavy tank.
       (History)
       Development of the T29 started in March 1944 as an experimental
       heavy tank. The focus of the T29 was to be able to combat the
       new German heavy tanks, as the T26E3 or Pershing was considered
       not armed or armoured enough to combat the German tanks, with
       only a 90mm M3 gun and maximum armour thickness of 100mm on the
       front hull. Unfortunately the T29 wasn't ready in time for it to
       enter combat in WW2.
       The T29 was based on the T26E3 but had a longer hull, extra road
       wheels for the weight and heavier armour. To power the T29, it
       had a Ford GAC engine while other variants had Allison V1710 V12
       engines. A new heavily armoured turret was mounted which
       supported a high velocity 105mm T5 gun.

       The T29 is considered one of the best tanks of its tier, with a
       combination of decant firepower, mobility and good armour. The
       T29 stock comes with a terrible 76mm M1A2 gun which is very
       ineffective but can be immediately replaced with the 90mm M3 gun
       if you come from the M6. The final and top gun on the T29 is the
       105mm T5E1 and is a powerful gun as it can penetrate almost all
       tanks of its tier and some of higher tiers. The T29 performs
       best when hull down because of its heavily armoured turret. The
       turret is capable of bouncing shots from tier 8 and even 9's if
       faced frontally and angled well.

       ASAP. If you'r coming from the Sherman Jumbo, the 76mm gun is
       useless at this tier and its recommended you use free XP to gain
       the 90mm.

       I run Camo, Heavy Spall liner & shell rammer.
       T29 one of my fav tier VII HT's now that the painful grind from
       the Jumbo is over..!!!
