       Carl's Behavior Towards Lori
By: Rapscallion Date: February 23, 2016, 7:39 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
When the group set up camp in the prison field, Carl didn't
speak or look at Lori, nor did he offer her any food, but he
readily offered some to Rick when he returned to the campfire.
That made me believe that Carl figured out that Lori and Shane
had been screwing around since their time outside Atlanta.

I never noticed this, I'll have to go back and watch some time.
But do you think that was the reason?

That had to be the reason. Kids are smarter than their parents
realize, and Carl had enough time to think things over.
After the group fled the Greene farm, and Rick revealed that
Shane tried to kill him, Carl had to have thought back on Lori
and Shane's behavior at camp, and the tension between these
three adults when Rick came back into the picture.

It's true that kids are pretty wise to things like this. I
remember knowing what was going on with my mom a few times and
cheating on my step dad. But its kind of sad that Carl would
blame his mother like that when it was Shane who chose to behave
       that way.

Carl thought Lori had betrayed Rick. He also may have thought
Lori and Shane were screwing around before Rick was shot.
Carl also couldn't lash out at Shane because he died. That time
Carl said he learned knot ties "From Shane. Remember him?" was
done to hurt Rick, and not reveal that he missed Shane.
