Will Carl ever be the same again?

Now that Carl has lost an eye how do you think its going to
change him as a person?
Back in 5A at Gabriel's church, Rick told Carl that no matter
what he thought, he was not safe. He said it only takes a second
and it turns out he was right, because neither of them saw Ron
coming, and by the time they did it was too late for Carl's eye.
But now I wonder how this whole experience is going to change
things for Carl, especially his personality.
Could he turn out to be more cynical, or will he change for the
better?

Carl's never going to be the same again. He's a teenage boy
that just lost an eye and is grossly disfigured. Deanna did the
best she could treating the wound, but she's no surgeon and the
wound can easily get infected. Carl might also blame Rick
because his involvement with Jessie only further pissed off Ron,
who was scheming to avenge his dad's death.
