Black & White Flashbacks

I hated those black & white flashbacks, especially when they
were never used previously.
Were they trying to acknowledge the show's comic book roots, or
were they going for some art house crap statement? :-\

It was just an example of Scott Gimple trying to be all artsy
and failing.
That episode was all over the place, not a good season premiere
IMO.

Funny how so many fans hate Glen Mazzara, because I don't think
Scott Gimple is any better.

Gimple isn't any better.

Mazzara was just trigger happy when it came to character deaths.
I can't believe he wanted to kill Carol. Gimple just implements
far too much filler in the seasons and less story. 6A failed
because of this and of course the whole schtick with Glenn.
Other than that, Gimple is okay in my book and I like that he's
trying to follow the comic, he just needs to do a better job of
it. He also made Carol the bad ass she is now.

Fans hate Mazzara for Andrea's characterization and her death.
I hate him for telling the fans the fat walker ate Lori's body,
which is physically impossible.
I'm disappointed in Gimple for teasing us with Richonne, but
giving us Rick and Jessie, as well as that atrocious "Start to
Finish."

Yeah the whole thing about that walker consuming Lori's body
bones and all was just too far fetched.
And Gimple teases too much and Rick's relationship with Jessie
felt forced and awkward. It all started with that kiss on the
cheek and then him acting like Shane whenever she was with Pete.
Even that kiss in the garage was awkward and just OOC for Rick,
but despite all that I still think Richonne is going to happen.
And I'd like to see something with Caryl as well because Gimple
teases that too.
