       Carter Was Right
By: Rapscallion Date: February 4, 2016, 8:36 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I hated Carter at first, but after repeated viewings of "First
Time Again". I have to admit that Carter was right about Rick's
plans of letting the herd out of the quarry and lead them away
       from Alexandria.
The Alexandrians were obviously unprepared to kill walkers
themselves. Rick's plan had too many variables and it
eventually ended with the walkers invading Alexandria.
Carter wanted to build a wall atop the earthen ramp leading into
the quarry but Rick and Deanna wouldn't hear him out. In spite
of the fact that Carter had construction experience and helped
Deanna's recently deceased husband Ron build the walls around
       Alexandria.
A lot of people got hurt, lost, or killed because of Rick's
plan. Ironically, the first casualty of the plan was Carter
       himself.

Rick has been in Shane mode aka I'm always right, you're wrong
which has only gotten people killed. It's true Rick didn't
exactly think things through with this plan, it seemed more of
an impulse to do something before hell breaks loose than
       anything.
I love Rick but sometimes he sucks at coming up with solutions
       to problems.

I'm disappointed that Rick didn't suffer any backlash when he
returned to Alexandria. Nobody said he got their friends and
neighbors killed. Nobody said he brought the walkers to their
doorsteps. Nobody called him out on his arrogance.

I think the backlash will be coming shortly and it will come
from Spencer. I do think he would blame Rick for his mother's
death at least and for bringing the walkers here.
