Comic Andrea VS TV series Andrea

I actually feel that Andrea from the tv series was better than
comic Andrea, and that's because I feel that the character was
given more depth and became someone a lot of people could relate
to.
After losing her sister she fell into depression and thought
about ending her life and even wanted to go through with it at
the CDC but Dale talked her out of it. After that she was mad
but also trying to find a way to live with her pain and adapt to
the new world.
And then after Hershel's farm fell and she ended up with
Michonne who saved her life and spent many months with. I did
like that aspect, I felt it was a better introduction for
Michonne than the comic. Then we get to the season 3 storyline
and while I wasn't crazy about the writing for Andrea, I do
understand why she did what she did.
She was obviously blinded by who the Gov really was because she
had fallen for his charm, which is very realistic in that sense
because it happens all the time with people, especially abuse
victims. But when she did eventually see how fucked up the gov
was, she tried to get back to her real family and never made it.
I still hate that she was killed off and I would have liked to
see what Gimple could have done with the character, even if some
of Gimple's story arcs aren't that great. But I do love Rick and
Michonne together <3 so that's a plus, but yeah TV series Andrea
just felt more real compared to comic Andrea, whereas comic
Andrea just comes across as a mary sue, no offense.
