Maggie's Deal
By: Rapscallion Date: August 20, 2016, 7:42 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
I just realized how disappointed Hershel would be at Maggie in
that she made a deal with the Hilltop in which the group became
mercenaries in exchange for food.
I believe if Hershel had still been alive, Maggie's decision
(Gregory wanted to negotiate with a woman) would've caused a
serious, perhaps permanent rift between father and daughter.
Hershel would also be angry at Rick, because he forgot that
people can come back, as Hershel had told him.

If Hershel had still been alive I think he would be a different
man after the whole Terminus ordeal. I think after that he
wouldn't see the problem with taking out another group if it
meant he and his family would be fed.
I mean look at how Hershel changed his opinion on the walkers
when he was forced to see what they are for himself. It wouldn't
have been any different with Terminus. Hell Hershel was even
okay with Rick delivering Michonne to the Governor if it meant
his girls would be safe.

I forgot about Terminus, and if Hershel had made it there with
Maggie's group, he definitely would've been put on the menu due
to his being a cripple.
Hershel would also be upset with Maggie's obsession with finding
Glenn instead of Beth, but that's not the topic were discussing.
:D
Hershel agreed with Rick turning Michonne over to the Governor
because he was afraid for Maggie and Beth, but he soon realized
the deal was wrong and told Rick to break it off.
Rick exiled Carol from the group because she killed the sickly
Karen and David in an attempt to stop the flu from spreading.
Hershel was shocked by the news, but he also supported Rick's
decision.
Maggie's deal turned the group into mercenaries, in which they'd
kill the Saviors for food. Hershel would oppose this deal
because to him, (A) killing, regardless of the reason is wrong.
and (B) the Saviors had never done anything to their group.
