Axel and Oscar
By: Rapscallion Date: July 10, 2016, 11:00 am

Axel and Oscar were the two good inmates found inside the prison
and who were gradually accepted into the group. Sadly, they
didn't last very long: Oscar died first, as part of the rescue
mission for Glenn and Maggie, and Axel was killed by the
Governor in the opening moments of the ambush at the prison.
Do you think Axel and Oscar should've lasted longer with the
group? Talk about them here.

Oscar & Axel had a lot of potential and I think its just a shame
both of them were wasted so early on. But then again we have
Glenn Mazzara to thank for that. He was quite trigger happy and
wanted to kill off so many characters, even Carol.
I guess he took the "nobody's safe" theme to the extreme.

Yeah, Oscar and Axel had a lot of potential. I think Oscar
would've attracted Michonne's attention, and Oscar, with his
knowledge of motorcycles, would've been friends with Daryl.
Of course, Oscar and Axel would've died in the battle for the
prison.
Funny how Mazzara had a "nobody's safe" mentality, whereas
Gimple has a "welcome aboard" mentality. The group has gotten
too large, and lesser characters have been forgotten.

Since Michonne wasn't anything like her comic counterpart,
especially in Season 3, I don't think she would've hooked up
with Oscar. But Daryl and Axel bonding I could totally see that
happening. That is until Daryl catches Axel looking at Carol,
then it would be over :P

Oscar was intelligent and had no patience for the bullshit of
others, so I think Michonne would've been attracted to him.
I'm glad you agree that Axel and Daryl would've been friends.
It would've taken one sideways look at Carol for Daryl to give
Axel a warning, and that would've been the end of that, you
follow me?

Sure do. Carol is Daryl's girl now and forever. :-*
