Fans all get on Maggie's case (deservedly so) for forgetting
about Beth while she searched for Glenn, but does anyone think
Beth deserves some hate for her cold reaction to the news that
her new boyfriend Zach, died on the group's supply run?

Well in that case Beth gave up looking for Maggie too and
instead wanted to hunt down some booze which she had no business
drinking.
Also her cold reaction to Zach often gets overlooked by her die
hard fans, because he was a redshirt.

I took Beth's reaction to Zach's death as an example of her
starting to get cold to the walker apocalypse.
Perhaps Beth and Zach weren't a couple for very long. Hershel
never comforted Beth on her loss, so it seems she was keeping
her new relationship a secret from her father.
