       Violet the Pig

       Rick might've had a chance to prevent the flu that ran through
       the prison if he had told Hershel that Violet the Pig was ill.
       Carl was concerned about Violet (he named her) but Rick acted
       like it wasn't important.  Getting Hershel to check on Violet
       would've made Carl happy and shown his dad valued his opinion.
       Hershel also would've been happy to be a veterinarian again.

       Do you believe that's where the flu originated from? There were
       walkers outside the fences who appeared to have died the same
       way so now I wonder.

       Good point.  I guessed that since they focused on Violet being
       ill, she was the source of the flu.  But we also saw walkers at
       the veterinarian college with the flu, so perhaps all the
       blood-eyed walkers were originally sick people who died of the
       flu and turned.
